1990年理查德·罗蒂在密歇根大学的讲座上首次对女性主义者发出呼吁，倡导了新实用主义与女性主义的结合。在当时,他是极少数关注女性主义的男性哲学家，他的发声无疑是意义重大的。罗蒂提出了他的新实用主义女性主义思想，认为新实用主义相比其他普遍主义哲学能够更好地与女性主义结合。但是目前对罗蒂的新实用主义女性主义的研究还不多，对他的女性主义还缺乏必要的审视和考察。因此本文通过对罗蒂的新实用主义女性主义的专门研究，试图探究出他的女性主义是否真正有效、是否能经受得住其他女性主义者的批判。我首先分析了罗蒂与女性主义相遇的契机和原因，以及女性主义的发展背景，然后详细论述了罗蒂的新实用主义女性主义的具体观点，最后结合女性主义阵营对他思想的认可和批判情况，来试图对罗蒂的新实用主义女性主义的价值做出合适的评价。我认为罗蒂的新实用主义对公私领域的划分和分离主义不利于女性主义某些话题的讨论和政治实践的发展，他对语言创新和想象力过于重视而忽视了理论批判仍然有其作用。但是他的新实用主义女性主义仍然有非常切合女性主义发展的现实意义，语言创新和修辞学的方法可以解决女性主义内部多样化的理论之间的矛盾和冲突，促进各阶级、各种族、各地区女性的对话和交流，扩大女性共同体和人类共同体的范围。罗蒂的新实用主义女性主义虽然有不少缺陷，但是仍然给女性主义带来了进步的希望。

In 1990, Richard Rorty made an appeal to feminists on a lecture of the University of Michigan, advocating a combination of neopragmatism and feminism. At the time he was one of the few male philosophers concerned with feminism, his voice was undoubtedly of great significance. Rorty put forward his neopragmatist feminist thought that neopragmatism can be better combined with feminism than other universalist philosophies. However, there is not much research on Rorty’s feminism yet, and his feminism still lacks necessary examination and investigation. Through a special study on Rorty’s neopragmatist feminism，I tried to explore the answer whether his feminism is really effective and can withstand the critiques of other feminists. First I analyze the opportunities and causes of Rorty’s encounter with feminism and the development background of feminism. Then I discuss Rorty’s specific viewpoints of neopragmatist feminism. Finally, I combine with the recognition and critiques by the feminist camp to make a proper evaluation of Rorty’s neopragmatist feminism. I think that Rorty’s neopragmatist distinction of the public and private and separatism is not conducive to the discussion of certain topics of feminism and the development of political practices, and he paid too much attention to linguistic innovation and imagination but neglected that theoretical critique still has its role. Nevertheless, his neopragmatist feminism still has a realistic meaning that suits the development of feminism. Its linguistic innovation and rhetoric methods can solve the contradictions and conflicts between the feminist internal diversified theories, promote dialogues and exchanges among women of all classes, ethnic groups, and regions, and expand the scope of female and human communities. Although Rorty’s neopragmatist feminism has some flaws, it still gives feminism a hope for progress.
