社会信任指的是人际信任，即人与人之间的信任程度。跨国公司在选择FDI区位的时候面临着艰难的选择，跨国公司往往更愿意在经济、制度条件良好的国家进行投资，同时跨国公司也会被东道国的某一些文化特征所吸引，如信任水平。那么信任对FDI流入是否有影响？本研究的主要目的在于探讨社会信任水平对FDI流入的影响。本文采纳世界价值观调查(WVS)中关于信任的数据来衡量社会信任水平。通过建立计量模型，在控制了FDI流入的主要影响因素下，得出了东道国社会信任水平对FDI流入有显著且积极的影响。最后从信任角度着眼，对东道国政府吸引外资和跨国公司进行对外投资提出建议。

Social trust refers to interpersonal trust, which is the degree of trust between people. Multinational enterprises often face difficult choices with regard to the location of FDI. Typically, they are more willing to invest in countries with favorable economic and institutional conditions. At the same time, they may be attracted to some cultural characteristics of host countries, such as the level of trust in society. Does trust really affect FDI inflow? The main purpose of this study is to explore the impact of social trust level on FDI inflow. This paper uses the data from World Values Survey (WVS) to measure the level of trust in host countries. After controlling the main influence factors of FDI, the result shows that the level of trust in host country has a significant and positive impact on the FDI inflow. In the end, this paper provides some advice for government and multinational enterprise from the perspective of trust.
