航拍图像处理系统是一款针对航空采集的影像进行处理并能生成处理报告进行分发的图像信息综合处理系统。所处理的类型有CCD图像、红外图像、雷达图像等。所包含的模块有图像数据采集、数据管理与维护、判读流程管理、图像处理与图像浏览。在图像浏览部分,现有的航拍图像处理系统大多采用二维电子图像系统。和其他二维地图一样,其本质都是基于抽象符号的系统,不能直观还原自然界的真实面貌且易形成抽象多义化,给使用者的辨识和符号意义还原带来困难。三维电子图像系统的研发已成为一个重要的发展方向。NASA World Wind 是一款由美国宇航局(NASA)和合作伙伴共同开发的三维地理信息系统。它是一个优秀的开源3D引擎,有两个主要的特点:第一,它可以将多种公开和专用的地理数据进行聚合,不但可以提供NASA自身的数据,还可以提供从其他政府部门、行业和普通大众中得到的数据;第二,它模块化可扩展的系统可以使开发者很容易通过插件方式对其功能进行扩展。这两个特点,为World Wind与航拍图像处理系统进行结合带来了很大的可能性。本文拟通过研究World Wind的源代码,了解其特性、组织结构、功能接口。并将其应用在航拍图像处理系统中,实现在航拍图像处理系统中在三维显示平台上浏览图片的功能。此外,利用三维平台的特性,进行影像经纬度定位、地图更新等扩展研究,为航拍图像处理系统增加新的功能。

Aerial image processing system, can store aerial images collected by airplane, perform image processing, and distribute the work reports. The types of image the system accepts include CCD images, infrared images and radar images. The modules include the image data acquisition, data management and maintenance, workflow management, image processing and image browsing. In the Image Browse module, the existing aerial image processing systems are mostly using two-dimensional electronic chart. Like other two-dimensional maps, the nature of the system is based on abstract symbols, and cannot display the natural landform, thus make the user feels difficult to identify and understand the symbolic significance. Three-dimensional electronic chart system development has become an important direction of development.NASA World Wind is a three-dimensional geographic information system developed by the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA), its partners, and the open source community. It is an excellent open-source 3D engine. There are two main features: First, It has a unique potential to aggregate a multitude of public and private geographic data sets, providing access not only to NASA data but also to data from other government agencies, industry, and the general public; Second, its modular and scalable system allows developers to easily extend its functions through plug-in mechanism. These two features make the combination of World Wind and the aerial image processing system possible and practicable.This paper plans to: First, study the World Wind source code and documents, understand its characteristics, organizational structure, functional interface. Second, combine it with the aerial image processing system, and put the image browsing module into the three-dimensional browsing platform. In addition, we plan to utilize three-dimensional characteristics of the platform to realize some functions, including image latitude and longitude calibration & using aerial images to update the map, so as to add new features to aerial image processing system.
