萨福是古希腊第一位女抒情诗人，也是西方文学史上最重要的女诗人之一，她的名字在西方近现代诗歌中被反复提及。本文以文艺复兴以来西方近现代诗歌中出现的萨福形象为研究对象，探讨近现代诗歌中的萨福形象与其形成和变化的原因。 本文第一部分对萨福生平进行简单的介绍，第二部分选取文艺复兴以来以萨福为母题的典型诗歌，分析诗人笔下萨福的典型形象。可以发现，诗人在塑造其形象时分歧主要集中在对萨福的恋爱经历的态度上，其形象由依附男性的弃妇到独立的女同性恋者、为命运悲叹的诗人，并在这一过程中逐渐抽象化，最后成为女性爱情的代名词。本文在第三部分则对这一现象进行了分析，萨福形象本身具有极强的辨识度和可塑性，前者使她成为诗歌中备受偏爱的意象，后者让她能够适应不同的现实诉求，因此在不同的时代背景和不同的作者笔下也就有了不同的“萨福”。

Sappho is the first Lyric poetess in ancient Greece and one of the most important poetesses in the history of Western literature. Her name has been repeatedly mentioned in modern western poetry. This paper takes the image of Sappho in modern western poetry since the Renaissance as the research object, and explores the change of the image of Sappho in modern poetry and its causes. The first part of this paper gives a brief introduction to Sappho's life. The second part chooses the typical poems with Sappho as the theme since the Renaissance to analyze the typical image of Sappho in the poet's works. It can be found that the differences of the poets in shaping their images mainly focus on their attitudes towards Sappho's love experience. The images of Sappho are from abandoned women who depend on men to independent lesbians and poets who lament for her fate. In this process, they are gradually abstracted and finally become synonyms of women's love. In the third part of this paper, this phenomenon is analyzed. The image of Sappho itself has a strong identification and plasticity. The former makes her a favorite image in poetry, while the latter enables her to adapt to different realistic demands. Therefore, there are different "Sappho" in different times and writers'works.
