篮球运动1895年传入中国，由于篮球的巨大魅力，在我国迅速流传，深受广大人民的喜爱。 北京是首都，更是文化交流的中心。为了解北京市西城区中学篮球运动的现状本文对西城区10所中学篮球运动的开展现状进行研究。研究结果表明：受“体育强国”政策影响和在新课改的带动下，学校领导比较支持学校篮球运动的发展；学生热爱篮球运动，但大部分时间被学业所占，不能更多的参与篮球运动；篮球教师年龄和学历结构较为合理，但是普遍缺少培训和交流的机会，篮球专项执教能力有待提高；篮球队员比较注重文化课学习，力求学习运动两不误。西城区中学球队参加训练、竞赛的经费不足。针对西城区中学篮球运动开展现状本研究提出以下建议：1.破旧立新，长远发展2.做好学校篮球运动的宜传工作3.政府增加投入资金，实现经费多元化。

Basketball was introduced to China in 1895, because of the great charm of basketball, spread rapidly in our country. Beijing is the capital and the center of cultural exchange. In order to understand the present situation of Xicheng District middle school basketball movement this article carries on the research to the Xicheng District 10 middle school basketball sports development present situation. The results showed that the impact of "sports power" policy and the new curriculum reform in the drive, the school leadership support school basketball development; students love basketball, but most of the time is for more academic, not to participate in basketball; basketball teachers' age and education structure is more reasonable, but lack of training and the opportunity to communicate, basketball coaching ability needs to be improved; basketball players pay more attention to the cultural course learning, learning to exercise two. Xicheng District high school team to participate in training, competition funds. According to this research put forward the following suggestions of Xicheng District middle school basketball development status: 1 and 2 to the long-term development of school basketball sports should pass 3 increased government investment funds, realize the diversification of funds.
