本文以北京地区四家商业网站和两家官方网站的新闻从业者为个案进行比较研究,目的是考查我国商业网站与官方网站从业者的社会角色认知差异。依据社会角色理论,从角色权利、角色义务、角色规范三个维度,建构五项网络新闻从业者的社会角色认知指标:工作自主性、工作满意度、媒介角色认知、新闻价值观及媒介伦理。围绕五项指标设计调查问卷,并对问卷的调查结果进行深度访谈,分析原因。通过对新浪、网易、腾讯、搜狐、新华网、人民网六家网站总计126位网络新闻从业者的问卷调查,研究发现:在工作自主性、工作满意度及新闻价值观方面,商业网站及官方网站从业者的总体认知度极其相似,尤其是新闻价值观上;在媒介角色认知及媒介伦理意识及行为两方面,商业网站及官方网站的从业者的认知有着显著差异,官方网站从业者受政治性观念影响较大,商业网站从业者受市场、广告商压力影响较大;官方网站从业者的行为表现较之商业网站从业者更为自律,媒介伦理意识较强。
外文摘要:
This paper conducted a comparative case study on journalists in four commercial websites and two government websites in Beijing area, aimed to examine the differences on social role cognition between online journalists who work for commercial websites and government websites in China. On the basis of social role theory, from three dimensions including role rights, role obligations and role norms, five social role cognition indicators were constructed for online journalists: job autonomy, job satisfaction, media role cognition, news values and media ethics. The questionnaire was designed based on these five indicators, and more in-depth interviews were conducted in order to analyze and gain a better understanding on the survey results. By surveying one hundred and twenty-six online journalists from six websites including Sina, Netease, Tencent, Sohu, Xinhua, People’s Net, we are able to conclude that: in terms of job autonomy, job satisfaction and news values, the overall cognition of journalists from both commercial websites and the government websites are quite similar, especially in news values. On the contrary, in respect of media role cognition and media ethics behavior and consciousness, the cognition of journalists from those two categories of websites has significant differences, due to the fact that government websites' journalists were heavily influenced by political ideas, the attitude of commercial websites' journalists, on the other hand, were influenced by market and pressure given by advertisers. Therefore, journalists from government websites are more self-disciplined and have stronger sense of media ethics, as compare to commercial websites' journalists.
