The Victorian Era (1837~1901) was an important period in Britain history.As a great revolution took place,women’s position was also changing.In the Mid-Victorian,the women of the middle class were called "an angel"in the family. They were described as the purest female in the world,but this can’t cover up their low position in the family. In the late-Victorian Era, the female consciousness of middle class women began to wake up. Having realized their low status in families, they struggled for the legal rights and strived for the educational opportunity. It was a characteristic in this era that the social status of middle class women improved gradually.
