本文是基于《地窖之门》翻译实践的报告，重点关注小说语言的前景化现象。译者注意到，《地窖之门》中的前景化语言主要出现在词汇层面、语法层面和语域层面。在词汇层面，《地窖之门》中出现了词汇近端重复、远端重复和词义变 异；在语法层面，《地窖之门》中出现了句子成分残缺和句子连接方式变异；在 语域层面，《地窖之门》的前景化语言则主要表现为自由间接话语。对于小说文体风格的塑造而言，前景化语言具有重要的作用。

以传达小说的文体风格为目标，译者总结了前景化语言的翻译策略。在词汇层面，译者在保障译文通顺的前提下，重构词汇重复，同时赋予词汇恰当的情感色彩。在语法层面，译者通过保留残缺形式、改动标点等手段，复现原文的文体风格。在语域层面，译者模拟人物在语境中的思维和语气，或采用了增译的翻译 策略，补充第一人称。以上经验，希望能够为相同类型小说的翻译提供借鉴经验。

Cellar Door is a collection of horror stories which portray vivid characters, gripping and suspenseful plots, and an atmosphere of eerie mystery. They also feature extensive interior monologues, reflecting the style of Stream of Consciousness Novel. With those stories, readers can enjoy an aesthetic experience of horror.

This paper is a report based on the English-Chinese translation experience of Cellar Door. It focuses on the phenomenon of language foregrounding within the novel. Such phenomenon occurs at the levels of vocabulary, grammar, and register. At the lexical level, there is word repetition and variation. At the grammatical level, the incomplete sentence and variation in cohesion cannot be ignored. At the register level, free indirect discourses require special attention. The phenomenon of foregrounding at different levels is of great significance for the shaping of literary style.

To achieve the equivalence of literary style, the translator has summarized translation strategies for the foregrounded language at three levels. At the lexical level, the translator maintains the word repetition while ensuring fluency of the translated text and endows the vocabulary with appropriate emotion. At the grammatical level, the translator retains the incomplete forms of sentences and modifies the punctuation. At the register level, the translator imitates characters' psychological process and tone or adds the first-person perspective. The above strategies are to provide reference for the translation of similar types of novels.
