As the global influence of Chinese culture grows, international Chinese education, vital for teaching Chinese as a second language, sees increasing international demand. Yunnan, with rich cultural resources and a large expatriate student population, stands out as a multi-ethnic region. Its ethnic minority culture-oriented international Chinese education content draws much attention.
This article explores the application and unique value of Yunnan’s ethnic minority cultural resources in international Chinese education. It analyzes the uniqueness of these resources, their integration feasibility, and the current status in teaching. It highlights the gaps in recognizing and utilizing these resources, and proposes strategies like developing textbooks, offering thematic courses, and organizing activities to enrich content, enhance quality, and promote the global “dissemination of Yunnan’s ethnic minority cultures.
