This paper investigates hearing-impaired students’ attitudes towards English learning and the related factors that influence their attitudes in order to give some suggestions for teaching these special students and also prepare for deeper researches about their education. The research process is done with a questionnaire including 22 questions and a paper-interview both for the teacher and two students. The results show that hearing-impaired students are interested in English learning and are mostly motivated by its usefulness in finding a job or communicating with others. But the hearing impairment does impose negative effects on its learning: students are hard to get enough vocabulary and a clear grammatical system. They think Chinese and Sign Language facilitate them a lot in acquiring English, and their personal experiences influences the facilitating languages’ using. They like the current textbook and want it more related to life.
