本翻译项目实践报告主要探讨了在翻译目的论指导下科普文本翻译策略的选择问题。项目所选取的原文本是理查德•洛夫（Richard Louv）所著的《自然法则：虚拟时代，重拾生活》（The Nature Principle: Reconnecting with Life in a Virtual Age ），这是一本探讨人与自然关系的生态学领域的科普书籍。报告节选了该书的第四章和第五章。在分析原文文本特点的基础上，以“翻译目的论”为理论框架，着重分析作者自创词汇和长句翻译两大翻译难点，笔者灵活选择直译、意译或二者相结合的翻译策略。通过本报告的分析研究，笔者认为翻译目的论是指导科普文本翻译行之有效的理论，在尊重科普文本特点的基础上，翻译目的论为译者提供了灵活的翻译策略，实现最大限度地保留原文的神韵的目的。报告主要分为五个章节，第一章为翻译项目介绍，包括项目的背景、意义。第二章是译前分析和译前准备，重点分析了原文文本特点，随后回顾了翻译目的论的发展和主要内容。第三章具体阐述了翻译难点和翻译方法。难点包括：作者自创词汇的翻译和长句的翻译。第四章是翻译总结，包括翻译启示和翻译教训。最后一章是对整篇报告的总结和对未来的展望。

This report explores the translation strategies in popular science texts from the perspective of the Skopos Theory based on the book of The Nature Principle: Reconnecting with Life in a Virtual Age by Richard Louv, from which the translator chooses Part Four and Part Five as the source text to make a comprehensive analysis. With a deep analysis of the source text features, from the perspective of the Skopos Theory, the author makes flexible use of various translation strategies, such as literal translation and free translation, in the process of translating the coined words and the long sentences. The conclusion goes to that the Skopos Theroy is useful in popular science texts because it is convenient for translators to choose different translation strategies.This report is divided into five chapters: Chapter One gives a brief introduction to the translation project, including the background and significance of the project. Chapter Two shows us the preparatory work before translating, focusing on the analysis of the characteristics of original texts and the main rules of Skopos Theory. Chapter Three mainly discusses translation difficulties and methods. The difficulties mainly lie in the coined words and long sentences.　Chapter Four concludes with the inspirations and lessons in the translation. The last chapter concludes with the whole report and looks into the future research.
