20世纪20、30年代，是国际关系史研究中一个非常重要的历史时期。在这短短的20年中，世界和平主义思潮的蔓延，女权运动分化转变以及对世界和平问题的广泛关注，特别是大量以和平为导向的妇女非政府国际组织的出现，都开始向传统的由男性主导的政府间国际关系体系提出挑战。作为这一时期国际妇和平主义运动的旗帜，1915年国际妇女争取和平与自由同盟（Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom，简称WILPF） 的建立，成为这一挑战的集中体现。 本文正是试图对国际妇女争取和平与自由同盟的建立、其和平主义思想和裁军实践，以及对整个20世纪国际关系理论发展的所带来的重大影响作一个初步的研究和探讨，从而对这一时期的世界和平主义思潮和妇女和平主义思想有个进一步的了解，同时对这一时期整个国际关系领域转型以及该组织所带来的巨大影响——顺应了非政府国际组织进入国际关系领域的趋势，标志着女性国际关系理论的萌芽有个更充分的认识。

The 1920s and 1930s were a very important period in the historical research of international relations. During this short 20 years, the spread of the world peace ideological trend, the division of the world feminist movement and paying more attention to the issue of peace, in particular, the emergency of a large number of peace-oriented women non-government organization, all of these began to challenge the traditional male-dominated intergovernmental system of international relations. As a flag of the world women’s peace movement in this period, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom （WILPF）founded in 1915 and became the concentrated expression of this challenge. It was the aim of this thesis to make a basic research on the foundation of the WILPF, its pacifist thoughts, disarmament practice and its profound impact on the development of international relations theory in 20th century, so that we could have a further understanding on the world pacifist thought and the women’s pacifist ideology during this time, meanwhile, we could have a better understanding on the transition of the whole international relations and the profound influence of the organization of this period——it conformed to the trend of the NGO entering the field of international relations and indicated the germ of the women’s international relations theory.
