Adverbs mainly serve as adverbs to modify verbs and adjectives, and can also modify the entire sentence. The adverbs that modify sentences are called Sentence-modifying adverbs, and only some adverbs have sentence-modifying functions. A conversational discourse is a spoken discourse that is repeatedly transformed in turn units, in which there are temporary language usage methods that can examine the phenomenon of temporary, unwritten adverbial embellishments. This article takes sentence-modifying adverbs in conversational discourse as the research object, and combines methods such as comparative analysis, transformation analysis, and semantic feature analysis to describe the members of sentence-modifying adverbs. In spoken language corpus, it analyzes the semantic deviation caused by sentence-modifying adverbs due to changes in the modifying object, and describes the discourse coherence function of adverbial modifiers. By focusing on the function of adverbial modifiers in discourse, analyzing the mechanism by which they acquire function, and thus analyzing the origin and evolution process of adverbial modifiers.
