从社会生态的视角关注人的心理是近年来的一个研究热点。作为一个社会生态心理学指标,关系流动性指在特定社会背景下,个体所感知到的能够形成和终止关系的自由程度。关系流动性与人们的自我展示倾向有关,而炫耀性消费主要功能是通过展示财富或地位来影响相关他人。因此,关系流动性与炫耀性消费之间的关系便值得探究。

本研究关注关系流动性对炫耀性消费的影响,一方面,将关系流动性的影响扩展到了消费领域,进一步充实了关系流动性的理论研究;另一方面,对炫耀性消费的社会心理动因进行深入地认识和准确的把握,可以更加科学有效地引导良性的消费决策和行为。

本研究主要包括三个子研究,探讨了关系流动性与炫耀性消费的关系及其内在因素。研究一,选取了202名被试,用问卷测量了被试的关系流动性水平及炫耀性消费倾向;研究二,选取了188名被试,用问卷测量了三种不同需要模式的中介作用。具体而言,探讨了独特性需要,地位需要,规范影响敏感性在关系流动性和炫耀性消费之间的作用;研究三,选取了224名被试,采用了高低关系流动性的被试间实验设计,通过操纵关系流动性,探究关系流动性与炫耀性消费之间的因果关系,进一步验证了地位需要在两者关系中的作用。

本研究得到了以下结论:

1)            关系流动性可以正向预测炫耀性消费。

2)            关系流动性-地位需要-炫耀性消费的中介模型成立。具体来说,高关系流动性导致了高地位需要,最终促进了炫耀性消费。

3)            关系流动性正向预测炫耀性消费的因果关系成立。

外文摘要:

In recent years, it has been a research hotspot to pay attention to human psychology from the perspective of socioecology. As an indicator of socioecological psychology, relational mobility refers to the degree of freedom that individuals perceive to form and terminate relationships in a specific social context. The relational mobility is related to people's self-display tendency, and the main function of conspicuous consumption is to influence others by displaying wealth or status. Therefore, the relationship between relational mobility and conspicuous consumption is worth exploring.

This study focuses on the impact of relational mobility on conspicuous consumption. On the one hand, it extends the impact of relational mobility to consumption fields, further enriches the theoretical research of relational mobility; on the other hand, it can guide healthy consumption decisions and behaviors more scientifically and effectively by deeply understanding and accurately grasping the social and psychological motivation of conspicuous consumption.

 This study mainly includes three parts, discussing the relationship between relational mobility and conspicuous consumption and its internal factors. In the first study, 202 participants answerer their relational mobility and conspicuous consumption tendency by questionnaire. In the second study, I used 188 participants to check the mediating effects of three different needs patterns were measured by questionnaire. Specifically, it discusses the influence of need for uniqueness, need for status, and susceptibility to normative influence in relational mobility and conspicuous consumption. In the third study, I used 224 participants and used high and low relational mobility experimental design to explore the causal relationship between relational mobility and conspicuous consumption through the manipulation of relational mobility. In the experiment, materials constructed virtual company situations with different level of relational mobility.

The results are as follows:

1) Relational mobility can positively predict conspicuous consumption.

2) The need for status mediates the relationship between relational mobility and conspicuous consumption. High relational mobility leads to high need for status and thus leads to conspicuous consumption.

3) The positive causal relationship between relational mobility and conspicuous consumption is proved.
