This study deeply analyzes the narrative connotation and denotation, change, strategy and structure of Chinese sports drama, and points out the problems existing in the narrative and the corresponding solutions.Through systematic literature review and case analysis, this paper reveals how sports dramas show the charm and value of sports competition through different narrative techniques, and how to integrate diversified elements in the narrative process, thus broadening the audience's aesthetic horizon.

In terms of the narrative connotation of sports drama, this paper discusses the theme of individual success and collective honor of sports events, as well as the content of sports stories and sports culture.This narrative connotation not only highlights the spiritual core of sports competition, but also provides rich materials and inspiration for the creation of TV drama.In terms of the denotation of narrative, this paper points out the innovation of narrative modes such as "sports + love", "sports + comedy", and how these modes inject new vitality and enjoyment into sports drama.This innovation of narrative discourse not only broadens the performance field of sports drama, but also makes it more in line with the aesthetic needs of contemporary audiences.
