蒲松龄《聊斋志异》被誉为“古典文学双璧”之一,成书以来一直受到不同层次、不同年代读者的欢迎。新时期以来,许多当代作家或对《聊斋》进行有意识的学习,或无意识受其影响,形成了或显或隐的师承关系。本文将从题材内容、民间立场、艺术审美、当代作家对《聊斋志异》的再创作四个角度探讨《聊斋志异》与当代写作的相关性,并尝试还原当代文学与古典文学经典之作的源流关系。绪论部分,阐释了本文的选题缘由、研究现状和研究方法。第一章,从鬼魂叙事、梦境叙事、动物叙事三个方面探讨《聊斋志异》中的神秘元素给当代小说带来的题材上的新变。第二章主要分析当代小说中的民间价值观念与《聊斋志异》的关系,包括善恶有报、因果轮回的民间道德观,矛盾纠结的女性观,以及自然奔放的“山野精神”。第三章在前两章的基础上,重点探讨《聊斋志异》对当代小说艺术手法与审美风格的影响,主要分为四个部分。第一节,从简洁凝练的语言风格和当代笔记体小说入手,分析《聊斋志异》中的文体风格对当代新笔记体小说的影响;第二节,重点从《聊斋志异》中的元叙事因素入手,探讨当代先锋小说中元叙事的中国古典文学师承;第三节,从新时空观的开创的角度重点探讨《聊斋志异》对中国魔幻现实主义写作的启发。最后,在第四章中,通过《聊斋新义》和《聊斋志异》原文本的逐篇对比,分析汪曾祺对《聊斋志异》的再创作中的得失,并试图挖掘这一创作尝试背后寄托的汪曾祺的文学主张。

Liaozhai Zhiyi, or Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, by Pu Songling, is respected as one of the two representing classical Chinese literatures, and nourishes generations of writers from different backgrounds and eras. Chinese contemporary writers, with self-awareness or not, have been under its influence. The paper is going to investigate the relationship between Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio and Chinese contemporary writings from the following four perspectives: theses and contents, the Folk Literature stands, aesthetics, and the contemporary re-writes of Liaozhai, and trace how Chinese contemporary writings inherit the spirit of the classic.

The introduction section elucidates the topic selection rationale, research status, and methodology. Chapter One, the Mysterious Elements in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, explored how narratives of ghosts, dreams, and animals bring new thematic variations to contemporary novels. Chapter Two primarily analyzes the relationship between folk values in contemporary novels and Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, concentrating on the perspectives of traditional dualistic folk morality (retribution for good and evil, the cycle of karma), complex perceptions on women, and the untamed "spirit of hermits and nature."

Building upon the first two chapters, Chapter Three focuses on the influence of Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio on artistic techniques and aesthetic styles in contemporary novels, divided into four sections. The first section analyzes the influence of the stylistic elements in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio on contemporary epistolary novels by examining the concise and refined language style and contemporary epistolary novels. The second section focuses on the narrative elements of Strange Stories and explores the inheritance of Chinese classical narrative in contemporary avant-garde novels. The third section analyzes the relationship between Strange Stories and the metaphysical turn in contemporary novels. The fourth section highlights the inspiration provided by Strange Stories for the creation of Chinese magical realism from the perspective of the new spatiotemporal inventions. Finally, in the fourth chapter, through a detailed comparison between Liaozhai Xinyi and the original Strange Stories, the chapter examines successes and shortcomings of Wang Zengqi's reinterpretation of Strange Stories and attempts to uncover the literary propositions underlying Wang Zengqi's creative endeavor.
