对外古代汉语教学指的是对汉语非母语的外国人进行的古代汉语教学。本文依据对外汉语教学活动的四大环节理论,围绕教材、课堂教学和成绩测试三个方面对北京师范大学汉语文化学院面向留学生开设的古代汉语课展开研究,并结合对二语学习者的学情调查,针对当前教学实践中的不足,提出可行性的教学建议,以期对对外汉语教学领域中的古代汉语教学研究有所补充。

论文首先对古代汉语课所用的教材——《汉语·纵横古代汉语》上册展开研究,采用定量统计和定性分析相结合的方法,逐一对教材的选文、词汇、语法和练习内容进行细致分析,发现教材在选文难度、注释内容和练习设计上略显不足。

对课堂教学的研究主要通过听课观摩法,在课堂中跟踪观察并记录教师的教学实施过程,对古代汉语课的教学原则、教学策略进行归纳概括,发现教师在与学生互动上以及文化知识的处理上仍存在改进空间。在成绩测试研究部分,以古代汉语课期末测试试卷及两届学生的答卷为材料,对试卷的结构和内容进行梳理,借助SPSS统计软件衡量试卷的难度、区分度、信度、效度,证明测试结果的客观、有效、可靠,并统计分析各题型的得分情况,总结出高频失分点,为教学重点的调整提供参考。

第四章就课程接受度、学习方法、教材满意度、教学方法满意度和教学效果五个方面对选修过古代汉语课的留学生进行问卷调查。调查显示,学生普遍对教材及教学方法的满意度较高,但期望课时量、练习、文化背景知识讲解、课堂氛围等方面的改进。

论文最后对面向留学生的古代汉语教学提出针对性的改进建议:应适量增加课时、适当降低选文难度、调整注释内容、完善练习设计、合理安排教学内容、补充相关文化知识、适时变换教学模式、调整部分题型的难度和区分度。

外文摘要:

Teaching Ancient Chinese to Foreigners refers to teaching Ancient Chinese to foreigners who are not native speakers of Chinese. Based on the theory of the four major links in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, we research on the teaching practice of the Ancient Chinese Course for foreign students offered by the Chinese Language and Culture Institute of Beijing Normal University from three aspects: teaching materials, classroom teaching and course testing. Combined with the investigation of students' learning situation, we find out the deficiencies in the current teaching, and put forward feasible teaching suggestions in hope of offering supplements to the ancient Chinese teaching research in the field of the teaching Chinese as a foreign language.

First of all, this paper studies the first volume of the textbook of the course --‘Jump High, A Systematic Chinese Course -- Ancient Chinese’,and uses the methods of both quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis to analyze the text selection, vocabulary, grammar and practice of the textbook one by one, and finds three slight inadequacy in the difficulty of text selection, annotation content and practice design.

The study of classroom teaching mainly focuses on observing the process of teachers' teaching implementation in the classroom by listening and observing. After summarizing teaching principle and teaching strategies used by the teacher, it is found that there is still room for improvement in the interactions between students and the teacher as well as in tackling with the knowledge of culture. In the part of course testing research, we collect and sort out the data from the final test papers of the Ancient Chinese Course and answer sheets from two classes of students. By combing the analysis on structure, content of the test paper and using SPSS to measure the four indexes of the quality -- difficulty, differentiation, reliability and validity, we prove that the test results are objective, effective and reliable. Then we make statistical analysis of the scores for each question type and summarize the frequent score-losing points in order to provide reference for adjusting key teaching points.

The fourth part is a questionnaire survey of five aspects: course acceptance, learning method, teaching material satisfaction, teaching satisfaction and teaching effectiveness on students who have taken the course. The survey shows that students are generally satisfied with the teaching materials and teaching methods, but they expect improvements in terms of class hours, exercises, cultural background knowledge, and classroom atmosphere.

At last, we put forward some suggestions for improvement of teaching ancient Chinese to foreign students, including increasing the class hours, selecting texts which are less difficult, adjusting the content of notes, improving the practice design,arranging the teaching content reasonably, supplementing more relevant cultural knowledge, changing teaching mode appropriately, enhancing the difficulty and differentiation of some questions in the test.
