《毛泽东选集》可谓中国共产党成立百年以来产生的一部至关重要的经典文献。这部领袖著作既是中国共产党推进马克思主义意识形态建设的一大基础工程，也是承载亿万国人光荣与梦想的经典。它与当代中国社会的数次转型同频共振，形塑了一代又一代国人身处的社会秩序与意义世界。新中国初期，在中国共产党的因势利导下，《毛泽东选集》学习活动在1951至1953年间蓬勃开展。这一学习活动是中国共产党领导的在全社会层面实现意识形态破旧立新过程中的重要一环，对促进马克思主义在意识形态领域指导地位的确立具有重要意义。本研究引入阅读史研究范式，大致沿着阅读的实践逻辑展开，以期较为系统地立体展现新中国初期《毛泽东选集》学习活动的诸多面相，探讨现实启示。
本文第一章考察新中国初期《毛泽东选集》学习活动的动因及准备。从党和国家大局层面上看，是要在此前一系列学习活动的基础上促进马克思主义在意识形态领域主导地位的确立。对于不同的社会群体，阅读动因有侧重上的差异：党员干部需要借此提升理论水平，党外人士需要借此进行思想改造，人民群众需要借此了解党和领袖。《毛泽东选集》学习活动的准备，主要表现在两个方面。一是通过《毛泽东选集》经典版本的编辑出版和发行流通提供阅读文本：二是通过1951年的《实践论》和党史学习预热阅读氛围。第二章分析考察新中国初期《毛泽东选集》学习活动的实践。在《毛泽东选集》学习活动的主要参与群体中，党的高级干部率先垂范，理论工作者大力宣扬解读，党外人士积极阅读学习，一般党员干部和人民群众踊跃阅读。就《毛泽东选集》学习活动的主要特征而言，一是具有全面细致的组织保障，二是发扬理论联系实际的学风，三是借助马列著作、中共党史辅助阅读。第三章总结分析新中国初期《毛泽东选集》学习活动的主要成效及现实启示。主要成效方面，从读者的视角看，深化理论认识，为开展具体工作提供理论指导；提升思想政治觉悟，树立马克思主义世界观、人生观和价值观；增进对革命事业的认识，增强对党和领袖的爱戴。现实启示方面，坚持马克思主义在意识形态领域指导地位的根本制度，推进马克思主义学习型政党学习大国建设，推动马克思主义大众化事业的守正创新。

The Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung can be described as a crucial classic document produced since the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) one hundred years ago. This leadership work is not only a fundamental project for the CPC to promote the construction of Marxist ideology, but also a classic carrying the glory and dreams of millions of Chinese people. It resonates with the transformation of contemporary Chinese society, shaping the social order and meaning of the world in which generations of Chinese live. In the early years of New China, under the guidance of the Chinese Communist Party, the study of the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung was carried out vigorously from 1951 to 1953. This study activity is an important link in the process of realizing the old and new ideology in the whole society under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and it is of great significance to promote the establishment of the guiding position of Marxism in the field of ideology. This study introduces the research paradigm of reading history, and roughly follows the practical logic of reading, in order to systematically and stereoscopically show the various aspects of studying the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung in the early days of New China, and explore the practical enlightenment.
The first chapter of this paper investigates the motivation and preparation of studying the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung in the early period of new China. From the overall situation of the party and the state, it is to promote the establishment of marxism in the field of ideology on the basis of a series of previous learning activities. For different social groups, the motivation of reading has different emphasis: party members and cadres need to improve their theoretical level, people outside the Party need to reform their thoughts, and people need to understand the Party and its leaders. The preparation for the study of the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung is mainly reflected in two aspects. One is to provide reading texts through the editing, publication, distribution and circulation of the classic edition of the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung; the other is to warm up the reading atmosphere through the 1951 On Practice and the study of Party history. The second chapter analyzes the practice of studying the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung in the early period of New China. Among the main groups participating in the study of the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung, senior cadres of the Party take the lead in setting an example, theoretical workers vigorously promote interpretation, people outside the Party actively read and study, and general cadres of party members and the masses actively read. In terms of the main characteristics of the study activities of the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung, the first is the comprehensive and meticulous organization guarantee, the second is to carry forward the study style of combining theory with practice, and the third is to assist reading with the works of Marxism-Leninist and the history of the CPC. The third chapter summarizes and analyzes the main results and practical enlightenment of the learning activities of the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung in the early period of new China. From the perspective of readers, it deepens theoretical understanding and provides theoretical guidance for specific work. To promote ideological and political consciousness, and establish marxist world outlook, outlook on life and values; Enhance the understanding of the revolutionary cause, strengthen the love of the Party and its leaders. In terms of practical enlightenment, we should adhere to the fundamental system of marxist guiding position in the field of ideology, promote the construction of marxist learning party as a learning country, and promote the reform and innovation of the popularization of Marxism.
