体操是我国学校体育的重要组成部分,是重点开展的运动项目。由于受到器械、场地、师资队伍及学生身体素质水平的影响,体操教学在普通高中开展不容乐观,不能全面有效地发挥出体操教学应有的功能。《体育与健康课程标准》实施后,高中体操教学现状，教师、学生对体操的认知等一系列问题,需要研究以深化体育教育改革。以《北京市高中体操教学的研究--以北京市四所中学为例》,采用文献资料法、问卷调查法、数理统计等方法,对北京市的普通中学的体操教学现状进行了调查分析,并对影响北京市普通高中体操开展的因素进行分析,得出了北京市普通中学学生兴趣广泛但是对体操的兴趣比较低，由于教师和器材方面的原因阻碍了体操在高中体育课中的开展的结论,提出了要大力宣传体操教学价值，让学校教师以及家长意识到体操教学的重要性和必要性，加强体操风险意识，采取各种措施，预防和防止教学事故的发生，促进体操教学方法创新的建议。
