文本细读是英美新批评针对现代诗歌阅读教学提出的一种教学方法，它将鉴赏活动与鉴赏方法学习、鉴赏能力的培养融为一炉，对诗歌阅读教学有着重要的参考价值。高中现代诗歌阅读教学要把其“现代性”和美学传统以及现代诗歌中的阅读技巧作为文本细读的主要内容。现代诗歌阅读教学要把握好两点：一是诗歌的抒情性，一是诗歌的音乐性。“多层面有机系统说”是文本细读的核心所在，这是从审美的角度把诗歌文本看作一个充满生命张力的活性有机体。从课程实施的角度看，文本细读是老师和学生在课堂这个特定的地点和教学情境中，通过对话交流来鉴赏和建构作品意义的过程。语言、声音、意象、隐喻和象征是现代诗歌文本细读的四个层面。由客观语言到意象语言是文本细读的基础，意象还原与矛盾分析是通向文本细读的一座桥梁，象征与隐喻是文本细读的两座基石；另外还要重视现代诗歌声音细读层面的教学。这是从微观角度对现代诗歌文本进行分层研究和解读，目的是想深入现代诗歌文本肌理，从多个角度多个层面观照诗歌文本。文本细读属于文学领域的内部研究方法，将其运用到语文教学领域后，便有了相应的职业特殊性与较高的实践运用性。文本细读是在特定的教学环境或情境下，是学生在老师引导下的双向思维，师生共同品读作品的过程。从教学实施的背景来看，文本细读最终还要还原为科学有效地教学设计和丰富的课程资源，在学生细读文本的过程中内化为学生的语文能力。

As a teaching method, close reading is New Criticism made for a poetry reading teaching , it is a way to melt appreciation of the activities and the appreciation of learning, appreciation ability on the whole.
