在谪居海南岛的三年生活中，苏轼经历了一个不断自我调适并逐渐融入海南岛的历程。在此期间，他也以诗歌的形式描绘并记录了海南岛上的种种特色风物，既勾勒出他逐渐适应海岛生活的过程，也超越了前人对于海南岛概念化、程式化的诗歌书写方式。在这些诗歌中，苏轼描绘了他逐渐适应海南饮食的过程，记录了他对海南特色动植物的感知及对海南特色物产的使用与馈赠，展现了海南岛的山岳、风雨、海洋，以及当地富有地方特色的时令变化与气候特点。在风物书写之余，苏轼也藉由他的敏锐感知与超凡笔力，以及对于当地人民及生活方式的主动接纳，进一步推动了海南书写方式的在地化转向。在此基础上，苏轼将海南岛地方风物的书写推进至文化建构的高度，呈现出一个更为真实且高度经典化的海南岛形象。

During his three-year relegation in Hainan Island, Su Shi experienced a journey of continuous self-adjustment and gradual integration into Hainan Island. In the meantime, he also depicted in the form of poetry and recorded the various characteristics of Hainan Island with all the process of both the outline of his life gradually adapt to the island, also surpassed the previous for Hainan Island conceptualization, stylized way of poetry writing. In these poems, Su Shi described the process of his gradual adaptation to the Hainan’s diet, recorded his perception of the characteristic animals and plants of Hainan, and his use and gifts of the characteristic native products of Hainan. Further, he also shows the mountains, wind and rain, the sea, as well as the seasonal changes and climate characteristics of Hainan Island with local characteristics. In addition to writing local products and landscapes, Su Shi also further promoted the localization of Hainan writing style. This is due to his keen sense and extraordinary writing power, as well as his active acceptance of the local people and way of life. On this basis, Su Shi promoted the writing of local scenery of Hainan Island to cultural construction, presenting a more realistic and highly classic image of Hainan Island.
