The structure, physicochemical properties and application fields of boron nitride (BN) were reviewed, and BN boron nitride nanocrystals were prepared by solid phase method. Firstly, the bulk crystal structures of BN were introduced, and then the preparation methods of 0-dimensional BN fullerenes, nanoparticles and nanospheres, 1-dimensional BN nanowires, nanorods, nanofibers and nanotubes, as well as their applications in water purification, drug transport and other fields were reviewed. The preparation of 2D BN films, nanosheets and their heterostructures and their applications in detectors and lubricant are introduced. Single molecule source for BN growth was prepared and BN nanostructures was prepared by high temperature solid phase decomposition.
