当前，我国民主党派民主监督在深厚的理论基础上，经历了孕育与尝试、确立与曲折、恢复和发展、创新和完善四个阶段，形成了自己独特的运行体系，从而彰显出了民主党派民主监督不同于西方政党监督的特色和优势。近年来，伴随着新型政党制度的完善和社会主义民主政治进程的推进，民主党派立足自身人才荟萃、智力密集、联系广泛等优势，不断发挥着对执政党的监督作用，积极履行监督职能，取得了显著成效，展示了中国社会主义新型政党制度的独特优势和强大生命力。

然而，囿于种种因素，民主党派民主监督在实践中仍然存在着监督主体意识有待加强、运行机制不够完善、外部环境局限等问题，这些问题都在很大程度上影响了监督效能的提升。因此，需要不断加强民主党派的自身建设及相关理论创新，完善监督的制度体系和工作机制，同时还要加强宣传力度，创造良好的监督环境和氛围。
