棒垒球运动集竞技与游戏于一体，在北美、东亚地区有着良好的群众基础。棒垒球运动主要由投球、击球、跑垒等动作组成，运动过程中需要手眼配合、动作协调流畅。跑动距离适中，适合不同身体情况的人参与。参加棒垒球运动不但可以锻炼身体，而且其蕴含的深层教育意义，如团队协作精神、个人担当精神、自我牺牲精神、遵守规则等，是现阶段我国社会所亟需的。大学生的自主性高、易于接受新鲜事物，且能够主动的进行二次推广，加之大学里场地设施相对完备，这都为棒垒球运动在高校的发展打下基础。本文通过文献资料、问卷调查、访谈、数理统计、逻辑分析等方法，以在校大学生为研究对象，通过对我国高校开展棒垒球运动的现状及大学生参与棒垒球运动的情况进行研究分析，试图为该运动在我国高校的推广提出建议，并制定简要的推广方案。研究结果如下：1. 我国目前开展棒垒球运动的高校有110余所，主要分布在华东、东北、华南地区。开展形式主要是开设棒垒球课、成立棒垒球社团、组建棒垒球队。2. 大部分在校大学生知道棒垒球运动，但深入了解程度较低。一半以上的在校大学生对棒垒球运动感兴趣，并愿意参加棒垒球的相关活动。3. 群众基础薄弱、缺乏场地和师资、专业技术难度高、规则复杂、器材昂贵是影响棒垒球运动推广的原因。4. 可通过官方组织与社会企业的合作，采用棒垒球衍生项目、移动棒球场等方法解决一部分推广过程中存在的困难。

The baseball and softball game is one of the sports, which integrates competition and game playing. It has a good mass base in the North America and the East Asia. This kind of game is mainly composed of pitching, batting, base running, etc. Beside these, the athletes' movements should also have the characteristic of hand-eye and motor coordination. The running distance of baseball and softball game is moderate and suitable for different people with different physical condition of participation. Attending the baseball and softball game can not only exercise to individual physical health, but it contains the profound education significance, such as teamwork skills or spirits, Individual bear spirits, self-sacrifice spirits, abide by the rules, etc which are in urgent need for everyone at present in our society. Moreover, the autonomy of college students is at a high level. They are easy to accept new things, and then carry on the secondary active promotion. Combined with the college facilities are relatively completed, all these have laid a solid foundation for the development of the baseball and softball game that in colleges and universities in our country.In this essay, the writer using college students as the research object and through literatures, questionnaires, survey interviews, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other methods. With the analysis of the status quo about the developing baseball game in our colleges and universities, and the interest or participation of this sport of students, the writer would like try to give some suggestions to encourage the sport in colleges and universities in our country and then make some brief solutions of the sport's development. The results for this study are as follows:1. There are more than 110 colleges and universities have already carried out the game of baseball and softball at present in our country. All of them are chiefly distributed in the East China, the Northeast China and the South China. The main form of this kind of game is opening a baseball and softball course, setting up baseball and softball clubs and founding a series of baseball and softball teams.2. An increasing number of students are already having a knowing of the baseball and softball game, but their understanding degree is still low. Nevertheless, about half of the college students are interested in baseball and softball game, and willing to attend this kind of activity.3. Many negative factors are still affecting the promotion and development of the sport. Such as, the mass base is weak, players are lacking of special baseball or softball fields and the qualified teachers, difficulty value of professional skills and experiences are high, the rules of the baseball and softball game is complex and equipment and facilities are too expensive to many students who really want to play the game. 4. Although there are too many problems and obstructions in the currently, some methods could be used to solve these problems. From the cooperation between the official organization and the social enterprise, Baseball and softball teams or clubs could also apply some methods like use baseball variations and moving baseball field equipment to solve some of the difficulties that exist in the promotion process.
