伊丽莎白一世时期的天主教流亡者是指在伊丽莎白政府颁布并实施新教法律之后，拒绝遵守新法案，继续天主教信仰，同时避免被新教徒依据新法案提起诉讼失去财产与自由，主动离开英格兰前往欧洲大陆寻求天主教庇护的天主教徒。这些天主教流亡者在欧洲天主教势力的帮助下，试图利用各种手段恢复英格兰的天主教信仰。虽然他们的活动在一定程度上延续了英格兰的天主教信仰，但却给英格兰的安全构成极大的威胁，同时也严重恶化了国内天主教徒的生存环境。

本文分为绪论、正文和结语三个部分。在绪论部分，首先介绍了选题缘由，即通过研究伊丽莎白一世时期天主教流亡者及其活动，分析其活动产生的影响，更加全面地认识英格兰的宗教改革。其次，在介绍国内外学者研究的基础之上，分析了学者们对于英格兰宗教改革的研究，尤其是天主教在宗教改革过程中的地位，重点介绍了学者对于天主教流亡者及其活动的研究。再次，文章分析了当前的研究现状及存在的问题，列出了本文将要研究的几个问题。最后，对天主教流亡者的相关史料进行了梳理。正文分为三章：第一章主要介绍伊丽莎白时期天主教流亡者的形成，即伊丽莎白新教政策的出台与落实，及其落实过程中天主教徒的反抗与失败；第二章探究了天主教流亡者为了恢复英格兰的天主教所做出的努力，包括护教运动、建立神学院、培养天主教牧师、派遣传教士、策动反对英格兰与伊丽莎白的阴谋和战争；第三章分析了天主教流亡者的活动的影响。虽然天主教流亡者的努力延续了英格兰的天主教信仰，但他们活动不仅恶化了英格兰国内天主教徒的生存环境，更将英格兰置于外国势力的威胁下，也让他们自身陷入分裂与内斗的局面。结语部分分析、回顾了伊丽莎白一世时期的天主教流亡者的活动，探求了天主教流亡者的反抗活动与英格兰新君主制的关系。

Catholic exiles during Elizabeth I period were Catholics who refused to comply with the new act after the promulgation and implementation of the
Protestant law by the Elizabeth government. At the same time, in order to
maintain the Catholic faith and avoid being sued by the Protestants according to the new laws to lose their property and freedom, they took the initiative to leave England for the European continent. With the help of European Catholic forces, these Catholic exiles tried to restore the Catholic faith in England by various means. Although their activities continued the Catholic faith in England to a certain extent, they posed a great threat to the security of England, and also seriously deteriorated the living environment of Catholics in the country.

This thesis is divided into three parts: introduction, main texts contain three chapters and conclusion. The introductory part of this thesis introduces the reason for choosing the topic at first, that is, to have a more comprehensive understanding of the religious reform in England by studying the Catholic exiles and their activities, and analyzing their influence in the period of Elizabeth I. Secondly, it analyzes the revisionist historiography’s research on the English Reformation, and highlights the changes in the status of Catholicism in the English Reformation in the base of the introduction of domestic and foreign scholars' research, and focuses on the introduces scholars' research on Catholic exiles and their activities. Thirdly, it analyzes the research status and existing problems, and lists several
problems to be studied in this paper. Finally, the author sorts out the
historical materials related to Catholic exiles and their activities. The main text contains three chapters. The chapter 1 mainly introduces the formation of Catholic exiles in the Elizabethan period, that is, the resistance and failure of Catholics under the implementation of the Elizabethan Protestant policy. The chapter 2 explores the efforts of Catholic exiles to restore Catholicism in England, including the apologetic movement, the establishment of seminaries, the training of Catholic priests, the dispatch of missionaries, and the instigation of conspiracies and wars against England and Elizabeth I. The chapter 3 analyzes the impact of the activities of Catholic exiles that is the efforts of the Catholic exiles continued the Catholic faith in England, their activities not only worsened the living environment of Catholics in England, but also put England under the threat of foreign powers, and also plunged them into a situation of division and infighting. the conclusion analyzes and reviews the activities of Catholic exiles in the period of Elizabeth I, and explores the relationship between the Catholic exiles' resistance activities and the new monarchy in England.
