U.S.-China Track II: Energy and Climate Change是一篇与太阳能相关的会议报告,主要总结了会议内容,分析了中美可再生能源的发展现状,重点关注太阳能领域,谈及中美不同的太阳能激励政策和市场环境,以及气候问题和太阳能装机之间的相互影响,并且提出了未来开展中美1.5轨对话的可能性。该报告概括了近几年太阳能装机的情况,为未来太阳能装机范围进一步扩大提供了指导意见,国内相关从业人士阅读后也能对美国的情况有所了解,跟随政策的脚步,更好地布局太阳能产业。 本文是笔者作为译后编辑译员基于U.S.-China Track II: Energy and Climate Change英译汉译后编辑项目的实践报告,重点关注在译后编辑工作过程中如何修改机器译文,使修改后的译文符合会议报告的行文规范和语言风格。本文主要研究能源研究报告机器译文的译后编辑方法,通过分析机器译文中存在的翻译错误和机器翻译出错的原因,提出相应的解决办法。根据机器译文翻译错误的不同,笔者将错误类型分为三类,分别是原文表述不畅引起的翻译歧义,机器误译和译文缺失,以及机器译文与原文语境不一致。在研究过程中,笔者发现原文的表述和机器对语言的理解都会影响机器译文的准确度,而这可以通过重新解读原文并翻译以解决问题。笔者的此次研究可以为今后类似的能源会议报告译后编辑提供可参考的译后编辑方法,同时本文中分析的机器翻译出错的原因可以为如何提高机器译文质量提供参考思路。 |

U.S.-China Track II: Energy and Climate Change is a conference report that analyzes the current state of renewable energy development in China and the U.S., discusses the different solar incentives and market environments in China and the U.S., and works on the interplay between climate issues and solar installations. The report also presents the possibility of a future U.S.-China 1.5-track dialogue. Domestic practitioners can gain an understanding of the situation in the U.S. from this report to better layout their solar industry. This paper is a practical report on the U.S.-China Track II: Energy and Climate Change project in which the author worked as a post-editor, focusing on how to revise the machine translation in the process of post-editing with the aim that the revised translation conforms to the standard of the conference report and the language style. This paper focuses on the post-editing method of the machine translation of energy research reports, and proposes corresponding solutions by analyzing the translation errors in the machine translation and the causes of the machine translation errors. According to the different translation errors in machine translation, the author divides the error types into three categories, which are translation ambiguity caused by poor representation of the original text, machine mistranslation and missing translation, and context inconsistency between the machine translation and the original text. This study can provide some suggestions for post-translation editing of similar energy conference reports in the future and how to improve the quality of machine translations. |
