在现实世界中，窗户是我们建筑中必不可少的一部分。在文坛上，窗户将室内空间与室外空间分隔开来，赋予空间独特的意义。作为中西方经典小说，《呼啸山庄》和《红楼梦》中的窗户意象受到学者的广泛关注，但尚未有学者对这两部作品中的窗户意向进行深入的比较研究。因此，本文将运用亨利·列斐伏尔的空间理论对其意象进行比较。论文将结合文化和历史背景，对这两部小说中窗户的文学意义进行全面分析。全文共分为五个部分。绪论部分总结了前人对两部作品的比较研究，以及前人对两部小说中窗户意象的研究。第一部分主要介绍了列斐伏尔的空间理论。第二至第四部分将详细分析窗户在物理空间、社会空间和精神空间中的文学意义。第五部分总结观点并提出展望。本文认为，《呼啸山庄》和《红楼梦》的窗户意向在独特叙事、环境描写、情节发展、塑造人物以及传递主题方面起到重要作用。两部小说中的窗户在物理空间中代表着中西方不同的建筑审美，在社会空间中是不同阶级之间的阻隔，在精神空间中是主人公的情感纽带，展现了凯瑟琳与希刺克厉夫、贾宝玉与林黛玉之间的爱情纠葛。

In the real world, windows are essential parts of architecture. In the literary world, windows separate the indoor space from the outdoor space, giving the space unique meanings. The window image in Wuthering Heights and The Story of the Stone has been widely concerned , but no in-depth comparative study of windows in the two novels has been conducted. Therefore, this thesis aims to compare the imagery of windows in Wuthering Heights and The Story of the Stone with regards to Henri Lefebvre’s spatial triad theory. In the light of cultural and historical background, comprehensive analysis of windows’ function will be given in relation to the two novels. The thesis consists of five parts. Part One mainly introduces Lefebvre’s spatial theory. Part Two to Part Four provide a detailed analysis of the literary meanings of windows in physical, social and psychological space. Part Five summarizes the viewpoint and puts forward the prospect. This paper argues that windows of Wuthering Heights and The Story of the Stone play an important role in designing unique narration, depicting novel environment, promoting plot development, shaping characters and conveying the novel themes. In the physical space, windows in the two novels are representations of western and eastern aesthetics. In the social space, they are barriers between different classes. In the psychological space, they are the love bond among the protagonists showing the love entanglements between Catherine and Heathcliff, Jia Bao-yu and Lin Dai-yu.
