本文以查尔斯·泰勒道德哲学研究为题，以泰勒对于现代道德哲学的一个评价词汇“表达不清晰”（inarticulacy）为线索，聚焦于泰勒对现代道德哲学的批判，在泰勒看来，现代道德哲学无论是康德伦理学还是功利主义伦理学都无法对现代性社会中的道德问题给出满意的解答。

       本文用表达不清晰这个词来描述现代道德哲学的问题，以清晰的表达（articulacy）为手段来解决现代道德哲学面临的困境。本文认为表达不清晰这一概念不是泰勒随意提出的，虽然泰勒的著作中也并未对其做过多强调，但这一概念在我们理解泰勒的道德哲学时起着关键的线索性作用。这种线索性作用体现在，泰勒对现代道德哲学批判的关键就在于理解其表达的不清晰性。泰勒认为人是自我解释的动物，所以表达是自我解释的基础，而之所以现代道德哲学对道德问题的表达是不清晰的，就是因为其只研究什么是“对”的，而不是什么是“善”。这样表达不清晰这个概念就把泰勒的道德哲学各个模块有机地串联了起来。这种串联有两个层面的意义，一是以此为线索更容易让我们理解泰勒道德哲学各个概念之间的关系，如对现代道德哲学的批判、表现主义的语言观、人的能动性概念等，由此对泰勒的道德哲学有了一个整体性的审视；二是以此概念为全新的视角会让我们对泰勒的道德哲学有更深层次的理解，可以更好地把握泰勒道德哲学中要批判的和要呼吁的问题的本质。所以表达不清晰这个概念既是一个工具，用它来理解和串联泰勒的其他概念；其本身也是一个需要被深刻理解的概念，对于它的准确把握会有助于更好地理解泰勒思想的本质。这个概念揭示了泰勒思想的两个方向的力：一个是以表达不清晰为武器对现代道德哲学批判的破坏力；另一个是以清晰表达为工具，把善的概念注入到被破坏后的现代道德哲学中的建构力。

  Based on the research of Charles Taylor's moral philosophy, this paper focuses on Taylor's criticism of modern moral philosophy with the clue of Taylor's evaluation of modern moral philosophy as "inarticulacy".According to Taylor, neither Kantian ethics nor utilitarian ethics in modern moral philosophy can give satisfactory answers to moral problems in modern society.

This paper uses the word "inarticulacy" to describe the problems of modern moral philosophy, and uses "articulacy" as a means to solve the dilemma faced by modern moral philosophy.This paper argues that the concept of inarticulacy was not introduced casually by Taylor, and although it is not emphasized much in Taylor's writings, it plays a key role in the understanding of Taylor's moral philosophy.This linear action is reflected in the fact that the key to Taylor's criticism of modern moral philosophy is to understand its unclear expression. Taylor believes that human beings are self-explanatory animals, so expression is the basis of self-interpretation, and the reason why the expression of moral problems in modern moral philosophy is unclear is because it only studies what is "right", rather than what is "good".Thus the notion of inarticulateness connects the various modules of Taylor's moral philosophy.This connection works on two levels,First, it is easier for us to understand the relationship between the various concepts of Taylor's moral philosophy, such as the criticism of modern moral philosophy, the expressionist view of language, the concept of human agency, and so on, so as to have a holistic review of Taylor's moral philosophy；Secondly, the new perspective of this concept will enable us to have a deeper understanding of Taylor's moral philosophy and better grasp the essence of the issues to be criticized and appealed in Taylor's moral philosophy.So the concept of inarticulacy is both a tool for understanding and connecting Taylor's other concepts; It is also a concept that needs to be deeply understood, and an accurate grasp of it will be helpful to better understand the essence of Taylor's thought.This concept reveals the two directions of Taylor's thought:One is the destruction of the criticism of modern moral philosophy with the weapon of inarticulacy;The other is the constructive power to inject the concept of good into modern moral philosophy after being destroyed by articulacy as a tool.
