电影改编于文学作品由来已久,新世纪以来随着“IP”热的潮流,电影改编热度不减。小说《情人》带有自传性色彩,并获得过法国龚古尔文学奖,广泛的受众群体和电影化的叙事方式使它具有改编潜力。阿诺作为法国重量级导演,在电影创作中善于从文学里汲取灵感,并偏好在异域文化中发现故事。
本文选取玛格丽特·杜拉斯的小说《情人》和让-雅克·阿诺的电影《情人》为主要研究对象,辅之以也曾塑造过“情人”形象的小说《抵挡太平洋的堤坝》、《中国北方的情人》为参考。针对作家、原著、改编者和最后呈现出来的电影作品,探讨从文到影的改编策略以及电影对文学作品的影像构建,进而揭示两种独立艺术的不可对比性以及改编过程中的意义增值与流失。
绪论梳理了国内外的研究现状,阐释本选题的意义。杜拉斯的小说是电影《情人》的故事素材,阿诺的电影又促进了小说在全球范围内的传播与接受。正文分三部分:第一章回顾两人的成长和创作经历,在小说具有可改编性的前提下看待二者不同程度上对电影《情人》的参与,从艺术的妥协与坚守中分析电影的作者之争,揭示阿诺对电影的主导作用。第二章首先论述电影在改编过程中对种族意识、殖民文化、道德与情欲关系等思想与小说的接近和背离,然后从凝视和性爱关系出发分析电影改编中的增值以及不同的改写对电影呈现的意义,最后聚焦于个人的心灵史,对比小说和电影在结构上的不同,分析改编创作过程中的重构和还原对电影产生的影响。第三章着眼于电影的影像构建,从影片的内容切入,用镜头语言和视听手段来呈现小说中法属殖民地越南的空间环境和男女两人之间的情欲场面,实现小说文本意境的直观化表现,然后具体分析阿诺通过哀而不伤的情绪、随记忆流浪的色彩和摇曳碰撞的声音来营造电影的浪漫氛围,最后从服饰语言塑造人物、肢体语言表达情感的角度分析电影对白人少女和中国情人的形象建构。
面对从文学到电影良莠不齐的改编现象,《情人》给我们提供了在接近原著的同时赋予电影全新艺术特色的范本。对情爱关系和人生永恒话题的探讨具有跨时代性,对经典作品的咀嚼也可以在当下杂乱的影视市场中找到解决自身困境的出路。

The film has been adapted from literary works for a long time. With the trend of "IP" in the new century, the popularity of film adaptation has not decreased. The novel L'amant has an autobiographical color and won the French Goncourt Prize for Literature. The wide audience and the narrative style of the film make it has the potential for adaptation. As a French heavyweight director, Annaud is good at drawing inspiration from literature and prefers to discover stories in exotic cultures.
This article selects Marguerite Duras's novel L'amant and Jean-Jacques Annaud's film L'amant as the main research object, supplemented by the novel Un Barrage contre le Pacifique、L’Amant de la Chine du Nord for reference,which also shaped the image of lover. Aiming at the author, the original works, the adaptor and the finally presented film work, this paper discusses the adaptation strategies from text to film and the image construction of the film on the literary works, and then reveals the incomparability of the two independent arts and the value added and loss in the process of adaptation.
The introduction combs the research status at home and abroad and explains the significance of this topic. Duras's novels are the story materials of the movie L’Amant, and Annaud's film promotes the spread and acceptance of the novels on a global scale. The main body is divided into three parts: The first chapter reviews the growth and creative experiences of the two people. On the premise of the adaptability of the novel, the author views the two people's participation in the film L'amant to varying degrees, analyzes the author's controversy in the film from the perspective of artistic compromise and persistence, and reveals Annaud's leading role in the film.The second chapter first discusses the approach and deviation of the ideas in those novels of the ethnic consciousness, colonial culture, the relationship between morality and lust thought in the process of film adaptation, and then analyzes the value-added in the film adaptation and the different rewriting to the film from the relationship between gaze and sex, finally, it focuses on the individual's spiritual history, compares the structural differences between the novel and the film, and analyzes the effects of reconstruction and restoration on the film during the adaptation process. The third chapter focuses on the image construction of the film, from the content of the film, using the lens language and audio-visual means to present the space environment of the French colony Vietnam in the novel and the lust scene between men and girl, to realize the visualization of the artistic conception of the novel which performed. At the same time, director Annaud creates a romantic atmosphere of the movie through the emotions of grief, the color of the wandering and the sound of swaying collisions. Finally, from the perspective of costume language shaping characters and body language expression emotions, this paper analyzes the image construction of white girl and Chinese lover in the film.
Facing the intermingled adaptation from literature to film, L’Amant provides us with a model that gives the film new artistic features while approaching the original works. The discussion of love relationship and eternal topic of life has an inter-generational nature, and the chewing on classic works can also find a way to solve their own dilemma in the current chaotic film and television market.
