弘一法师李叔同，是我国新文化运动的先驱，是我国近代史上著名的艺术家、教育家、思想家，是“二十文章惊海内”的大师。在诸多艺术、文化领域中都有较高的建树。本文探究的是弘一法师前期的书法风格，从整体的审美角度来审视弘一法师的书法。他书法六朝，随后遍临诸家法帖，篆、隶、楷、行、草无不涉及，融会贯通、自得其法，终能自成一家。弘一法师的书法风格，以法师出家那一年（1918年）为界，可分为前、后两个阶段。其书风，前期为劲健精谨，后期为恬淡清寂。前期的书法结体稍扁,章法紧凑,笔锋锐利,才气纵横,逸宕沉稳；充满着文人墨客的潇洒与豪放，另外，前期作品形式丰富，风格多样，诸如条屏、对联、题字、信笺等等，体现着弘一法师在学书历程中各个阶段的不同特点；后期书作则淡雅清寂，自然内敛中有一种天真朴拙之气。弘一法师前期勤于练习、遍临诸法帖，并深悟各家笔法，为后期书法风格的形成奠定了坚实的基础。

He is a master whose articles shock people within the country. He is also good at art and culture. This article is about the fommer style of his calligraphy, and taste his calligraphy in general looking. He learns from the Six Dynasty to the latter calligraphic words. He studies five different styles of calligraphy, and mix them by himself, then form his own style. His style can be divided into two steps, the first step is compelex, the second step is simple. There are two reasons about it. The first reason is that monk should keep a peaceful mind. The second reason is that his consciousness about calligraphy, Buddha and life has goes up to a new step. So his style of calligraphy has also changed.
