在邱华栋的小说《教授》中，作者通过一名文学教授段刚的视角，观察和参与着他的朋友，经济学教授赵亮的生活，同时也审视着这个社会和时代。在此基础上作者建构了两种不同的知识分子形象，即“教授”段刚和“叫兽”赵亮。本文采取了文本细读的研究方法，通过分析小说情节的发展和两位教授不同的言行举止及态度观点，对二者的形象进行结构和分析。段刚作为典型的人文性学院派知识分子，拥有强烈的道德感和可贵的学术精神，真诚、单纯；而被称之为“叫兽”的赵亮身上则体现出了强烈的欲望和兽性，具体表现在对利益的追求、情感的混乱以及内心矛盾的道德状态上。这两种知识分子的不同形态体现的是新世纪学院派知识分子的分化，既与个人的发展和际遇有关，也是时代和社会变迁的结果。

The novel The Professors written by Qiu Huadong tells a story about a professor of literature, Duan Gang, and his friend, a professor of economics, Zhao Liang. However, the images of the two intellectuals differ a lot, which also means the Academic Intellectuals’ being divided. As a professor who studies literature and stays in the tower of ivory, Duan values morality, academic research, and social equity, the lower classes as well, while Zhao attach more importance on personal interests and sexual passion. That is just the reason why we call Duan a common Academic Intellectual and Zhao a professor like a crying beast. This paper focuses on the two different images, by intensive reading of the text, trying to deconstruct the images and do some analysis about the factors and environment of that. After studying the plot development of the text and the opinions and behaviors of the two professors, this paper regards the formation of the two different images as a result of the combined action of both personal development and society and ages’ transition.
