现阶段初中历史教学中的游戏应用存在认识和实践浅尝辄止、阻碍学生历史认知以及脱离日常教学情况的问题，总的来说这些问题都是由对游戏价值认识不清引起的。事实上，游戏在初中历史教学中不仅能够引起学生对历史学习的兴趣，还有助于学生历史解释能力的培养。结合对部编人教版“中国历史·宋元时期的都市和文化”一课的实例分析来看，要实现游戏在初中历史教学中的有效应用，初中历史教师需要更新个人看法、偏见，加强日常学习积累，结合历史解释教学将游戏应用引入深层次发展，并在密切关注实际教学情况的同时综合多种教学方法，真正发挥游戏应用于初中历史教学后促进学生历史思维发展的作用。
