关中雷氏家族于北宋初年兴起于同州（陕西省渭南市），主要成员包括雷德骧、雷有邻、雷有终、雷孝先、雷孝孙和雷简夫前后四代五人。关中雷氏是民族融合和家族迁徙的结果。五代末，雷德骧凭借科举，一举重振家族。家族二代成员雷有终，在两次平定蜀中内乱的战争中功勋卓著，将家族发展引向全盛，同时推动了家族由文官到武将家族的嬗变。家族的三代和四代成员因为缺乏个人能力和历史机遇，致使关中雷氏迅速走向衰落。造成关中雷氏家族如此命运的原因，既有“崇文抑武”这一外部原因，又有科举不兴、成员仕途选择和婚姻等内部原因。

Lei Family in Guanzhong refers to a family that arose in Tongzhou (Weinan City, Shanxi Province) in the early Northern Song Dynasty, and is mainly composed of five members from four generations——Lei Dexiang, Lei Youlin, Lei Youzhong, Lei Xiaoxian, Lei Xiaosun and Lei Jianfu. Guanzhong Lei is the result of ethnic integration and family migration. At the end of the Five Dynasties, Lei Dexiang revived the family through the imperial examination. Lei Youzhong, a member of the second generation of the family, made outstanding achievements in two wars to quell civil unrest in Sichuan, leading the development of the family to full prosperity, and promoting the evolution of the family from civil officials to military officers. However, the three and four generations of the family, lacking personal ability and historical opportunities, led to the rapid decline of the Guanzhong Lei family. The reasons for the fate of the family are not only the external reasons of "emphasize civil administration at the expense of national defense", but also the internal reasons such as the failure of the imperial examinations, members' choice of official career and marriage.
