阅读素养是近年来阅读教学研究的一个热点问题。由于阅读能力与学习者的阅读理解成绩直接相关,相关研究更多聚焦在阅读能力的培养和提高方面。然而由于课程阅读教学的局限性,阅读品格的价值在实践中并没有得到充分的体现。 教师和学生都忽视了阅读品格的培养,片面地注重提高阅读能力,导致课外阅读体验和效果不佳,学生阅读素养偏低。针对这种情况,本行动研究旨在探讨在新课程标准指导下,在初级中学英语课外阅读教学中运用“阅读圈”教学法提高学生阅读品格的可行性。具体而言,本研究将回答以下问题: (1)乌鲁木齐市初中学生英语课外阅读存在哪些具体问题? (2)“阅读圈”模式是否会影响初中学生的英语阅读质量?如果是,有什么影响? (3)初中英语教师如何在课外阅读教学中将“阅读圈”模式“本土化”并有效实施? 本研究以输入假设和合作学习理论为基础,主要采用行动研究的方法,对新疆乌鲁木齐市一所初中二年级一个班的三十名被试进行了研究。行动研究为期两个月,包括四个阶段: (1)找出学生课外阅读中存在的具体问题; (2)制定行动研究计划; (3)实施行动研究; (4)得出结论并进行反思。本研究主要采用定量与定性相结合的研究方法,包括文献综述、问卷调查和访谈等手段。 从所收集的数据来看,乌鲁木齐市的初中学生普遍缺乏适当的指导,导致课外阅读效果不佳。通过对研究数据的分析,结果表明经过一轮行动研究后,被试的阅读态度和兴趣指标发生了轻微的变化,说明阅读圈对提高初中生的阅读质量有积极的影响。在此基础上,笔者提出了运用“阅读圈”模式以更好地满足学生的需要的建议,并对此方法教学的局限性进行了探讨。 |

Reading literacy has been a heated topic in reading teaching research recently. Researchers focus more on the improvement of reading ability, for it can be directly reflected in learners’ reading comprehension performance. However, the value of reading character has not been fully achieved in practice for the limitations in curricular reading teaching. Both teachers and students neglect the improvement of reading character and focus more on increasing reading ability unilaterally, which results in a low reading effect and reading literacy. In response to this situation, this action research aims to explore the feasibility of applying the Reading Circle approach to improving junior high school students’ reading character under the guidance of the new English curriculum standard. Specifically, the following questions will be answered in this research:(1) What concrete problems do junior high school students in Urumqi have in English extracurricular reading? (2) Does the “Reading Circle” approach affect English reading character of junior high school students? If so, what is the impact? (3) How can junior high school English teachers “localize” the “Reading Circle” mode in extracurricular reading teaching and effectively implement it? Based on the input hypothesis and cooperative learning theory, this action research is conducted on thirty subjects in a class of Grade Two of a junior high school in Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. This action research lasts for two months and includes four stages:(1) Identifying the problems in students’ extracurricular reading;(2) Making plans for the action research; (3) Implementing the action research; (4) Reaching conclusions and Reflection. This research mainly uses the quantitative and qualitative research methods, including literature review, questionnaire survey and interviews. According to the data collected, students at the middle school in Urumqi generally believe that the lack of proper instruction contributes to their inefficiency in extracurricular reading. Based on the analysis of research data, the results show that the index for reading attitude and interest of subjects has changed slightly after a round of action, which means Reading Circle have a positive influence on improving the reading character of junior high students. Besides, the author also puts forward some suggestions on how to adapt the "reading circle" model to the needs of students, and discusses the limitations of teaching. |
