粤方言词“拍拖”意为“谈恋爱”，该词已进入了普通话并在全国流行开来。“拍拖”的一些用法在普通话和粤语中均被使用，但同时“拍拖”在普通话中使用时出现了在粤语中没有的用法，粤语中“拍拖”的一些用法并未被普通话接受。这体现了普通话语法与粤语语法的异同。本研究采用文献法、语料库法和比较法，从“拍拖”一词切入，通过描述和解释“拍拖”在实际中的语用特征和语法意义，比较分析普通话与粤语语法的异同。研究发现“拍拖”在普通话与粤语中都可以与动态助词连用，可以被部分否定副词、时间副词修饰，前面可以接共事介词，后面可以接时量补语。“拍拖”在普通话中独有的用法为：拍拖过、拍拖过/了+时量补语。“拍拖”在粤语中独有的用法则包括：拍紧拖、拍咗拖、拍起拖（上）嚟、唔/冇/咪+拍拖、共+N +拍拖、拍拍下。

Cantonese word Paituo, which means be in love with, has been accepted by Mandarin and popularized throughout the nation. Some expression of Paituo can be used both in Mandarin and Cantonese, but some expression of Paituo are used only in Mandarin and Cantonese, through which we could get a glimpse of the similarities and differences between Mandarin grammar and Cantonese grammar. Integrating considerable examples from databases with coverage of contemporary grammar theories in the perspective of comparison, this paper will shed the spotlight on Paituo and describe and explain the pragmatic features and grammatical meaning to compare and analyze the similarities and differences between Mandarin grammar and Cantonese grammar. This paper will reveal that Paituo can be used with auxiliary words, modified by some negative adverbs and time adverbs, following preposition indicating the object who the subject finishes the action with and be followed by time measure complement in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Paituoguo; Paituo guo/le+ time measure complement could only be used in Mandarin. The unique expression of Paituo in Cantonese includes: Pakganto; Pakzoto; Pakheito(soeng)lei; M/Mou/Mai+Pakto; Gung+N+Pakto; Pakpakha.
