古语云：“食色性也”。饮食不仅是生理性活动，更具有社会性隐喻意义，而其中文化记忆与性别议题是核心焦点。马来西亚华裔女作家黎紫书擅长从日常生活的细微之处探讨国族认同的宏大命题，她笔下的饮食书写因此建构起丰富多元的“饮食南洋”文本隐喻系统。要言之，黎紫书笔下的“饮食南洋”具有三个面向：首先，“饮食南洋”具有多元文化互相交融的杂糅性；其次，“饮食南洋”通过饮食介入马来西亚华人族群的“在地经验”建构，表现了独特的日常生活诗学；最后，“饮食南洋”体现了华人国族想象离心与向心的辩证特点。总而言之，黎紫书笔下的“饮食南洋”的独特之处在于：一方面，其为我们观照当代马来西亚华人族群离散经验的多元面向提供了重要参考；另一方面，“饮食”也是黎紫书介入马来西亚社会性别议题的重要能指。

Ancient wisdom states:“Food and sex share the same nature.” Dietary practices are not only physiological activities but also carry social and metaphorical significance, with cultural memory and gender issues at their core. Malaysian Chinese female writer Li Zi Shu excels in exploring grand themes of national identity through the minutiae of daily life. Her depiction of food constructs a rich and diverse metaphorical system of “Nanyang Cuisine”. In essence, Li Zi Shu's portrayal of “Nanyang Cuisine”encompasses three aspects: firstly, it embodies the heterogeneous fusion of multiculturalism; secondly, it constructs the“local experience”of Malaysian Chinese communities through dietary interventions, showcasing a unique poetic of everyday life;  finally, “Nanyang Cuisine”reflects the dialectical characteristics of centrifugal and centripetal imaginations of the Chinese nation. In conclusion, the uniqueness of Li Zi Shu's portrayal of “Nanyang Cuisine”lies in its dual functionality: on one hand, it serves as a significant reference point for examining the diverse facets of contemporary Malaysian Chinese diasporic experiences; on the other hand, “cuisine” also serves as a crucial signifier through which Li Zi Shu engages with gender issues in Malaysian society
