清末宣统年间，清政府陆军部因辑制图的需要，在全国范围内开展了一次地理调查活动，要求各省以州、县为单位，派遣绅董填报当地的村落名称、方向位置、离城里数、户数、人口、附记等各项地理信息，并按照表式要求制成地理调查表册，上呈本省督抚备核，由省呈报陆军部。　 本文的研究对象是甘肃省图书馆藏清末甘肃各州县《地理调查表》，共65册。　　全文由绪论、正文、结语三部分组成。　　前言重点介绍了四个问题：一、选题缘由、论文题目及研究对象范围界定；二、甘肃省图书馆馆藏《地理调查表》的整理与研究现状；三、论文的研究重点与难点；四、论文的主要资料来源与研究方法。　　正文部分包括四个章节：一、宣统地理调查的调查缘由、调查过程、调查内容；二、《地理调查表》收藏、现存情况；三、《地理调查表》档案文书形态及其价值；四、舆图。　　正文第一章介绍了宣统地理调查的调查缘由、调查过程、调查内容及调查内容的史料价值，其中，调查缘由是本章重点；第二章依据现有资料，对这批《地理调查表》的收藏、保存作了推测；第三章的主要内容是《地理调查表》的档案文书形态及其价值，重点是表册中官印的概况、特点和价值；第四章对《地理调查表》中随附地图情况进行了介绍。　　结语在总结全文内容的基础上，对这批《地理调查表》的保存和今后在学术研究中的点提出了一些建议。

In the late Qing dynasty, the Department of the Army carried out a geographical inquiry in need of editing charts and maps, demanding every province did the inquiry by state and county as a unit. During the process of inquiry, county governors dispatched local gentry to survey the geographical information, such as village name, direction, location, away from the city, the number of households, population, and so on, then made geographical inquiry form according to the information, and submitted to the county governors, provincial governors for nuclear, after confirmation, provincial governors submitted it to the Department of the Army.　　　The object of this paper is the geographical inquiry form collected in Gansu provincial library, a total of sixty-five copies.　　　The thesis includes three parts: introduction, main body, conclusion.　　　The introduction focuses on four issues: Firstly, the scope of the subject and object of the thesis. Secondly, the emphases and difficulties of the thesis. Thirdly, the main material sources and research methods. Lastly, the current situation and research status of the Gansu geographical inquiry form collected in Gansu provincial library.　　　The main body of the thesis consists of four chapters: the first one pays attention to the reason, process and content of investigation of the Gansu geographical inquiry; the second chapter centers on the collection and save of the geographical inquiry form; the third chapter outlines the value of the Gansu geographical inquiry form from the point of official documents; the last chapter does some research on the maps that included in the geographical inquiry form. 　　　The conclusion is based on the summary of the full text and it also gives suggestion on the save and research of the geographical inquiry form collected in Gansu provincial library.
