从“动物叙事”的角度出发，我们不难发现其贯彻东西方的全球性特点。在莫言和马华作家张贵兴笔下也有相当丰富的动物群像，占据了作品中相当重要的篇幅，发挥举足轻重的作用。本文聚焦其极具代表性的《生死疲劳》与《猴杯》进行对比研究，梳理“动物叙事”在中马两地的状况，比较两者基于不同的地理与文化背景而呈现出的另类书写，最终旨在阐明两位作家在动物叙事背后共同指向的关于“人性”主题的对话，展现出两者“去人类中心主义”与“人性善恶同体”的思想精神。

‘Animal Narratives’ can be found in literary works from all over the world. We can also see a wealth of animal groups in the works of Mo Yan and Chang Kuei Hsing, which occupy an important place in their works. In this thesis, we will focus on Mo Yan’s Life and Death are Wearing Me Out and Chang Kuei Hsing’s Monkey Cup these two representative works for a comparitive study, and to sort out the status of ‘Animal Narratives’ in China and Malaysia, compare the alternative writing of the two works based on different geographical and cultural backgrounds. The ultimate purpose is to elucidate the discussions and dialogues between the two writers on the theme of humanity and to demonstrate their ideological concepts of de-anthropocentrism and unified humanity of good and evil.
