少女时期的女性所需经历的种种变化将其逐渐带入已有的、以男性权力为中心建构的社会秩序中。在经历青春期生理变化的同时，少女将产生由家庭伦理、宗教观念以及社会舆论等共同压力下的心理变化，意识到自己沦为“他者”的处境。本文以神话中的蛇发妖女美杜莎的命运隐喻少女成长历程，通过对《处女之死》以及《水果硬塘》的文本比较分析，探讨少女成长过程中，女性意识觉醒之后反抗父权压制的两种极端反抗方式以及造成这种反抗的社会因素。
