“语素词”的主要特点是有词的形式但却不能独立表新义。文章以“Y+N”“N+Y”“Y₁+Y₂”三种形式的新兴“名₁+名₂”定中结构为例，讨论语素词在当代汉语阶段产生的新义新用。就语义特征而言，前位语素词的空间性消散、生命度归零、附加义凸显、无指化，后位语素词则是空间性不变、生命度不变、附加义凸显、通指化。语素词的新义可能是自源的，也可能是他源的，前者包括修辞性与非修辞性引申，后者包括由外语以及国/境外华语引进。已经成词的语素词主要通过六条不同的路径实现向名词、形容词、动词或兼类词的转变，在由语素词到词的可能过程中，制约其成词与否的因素主要有四，包括使用频率的高低、新旧义区别度的大小、在结构中位置的前后、近义形式发展程度的深浅。引入“语素词”的主要目的在于对新兴结构内部表新义成分进行更为细致的分析，从而促进当代汉语词汇研究。

The main feature of "morpheme words" is that they have the form of words but cannot be used independently to express new meanings. In this study, the new meanings and new uses of morpheme words in contemporary Chinese are studied by taking "Y+N", "N+Y" and "Y₁+Y₂" as examples. In terms of semantic features, the antecedent morpheme words have dissipated spatiality, zeroed vitality, accentuated additional meaning, and become non-referential. While the postecedent morpheme words have unchanged spatiality, unchanged vitality, accentuated additional meaning, and become generic. The new meanings of morpheme words may be self-originated or other-originated, the former including rhetorical and non-rhetorical derivations, the latter including introduction from foreign languages and Chinese language other than Mandarin. There are four main factors governing the transformation of a morpheme word into a noun, adjective, verb, or compound word through six different paths, including the frequency of use, the degree of distinction between old and new meanings, the position in the structure, and the degree of development of near-sense forms. The main purpose of introducing "morpheme words" is to analyze the new meaning components within the emerging structure in more detail, thus promoting the study of contemporary Chinese vocabulary.
