2021年7月24日,中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅印发《关于进一步减轻义务教育阶段学生作业负担和校外培训负担的意见》,总体上是为了教育公平、优化民生、规范市场来考虑,但随着政府的一纸文件,许多上市教育公司紧急裁员、股票暴跌、甚至开始面临业务转型。TAL公司就是其中一员,也被迫开启了业务转型之路。TAL公司更名前为学而思,在2013年8月19日更名为好未来(TAL),2010年TAL公司于美国纽约证券交易所挂牌上市。TAL公司凭借着良好的品牌形象和口碑成为教育培训行业的领导者,其主营业务覆盖K12全学科培训。在所有的业务中,英语培训业务涵盖了全学段的学科培训,学员人数众多,英语培训业务转型更是重中之重。政策的出台减少了英语培训业务市场的空间,转型也是势在必行。 本文的整体研究框架分为7个章节。第1章,绪论。本章主要阐述本文的研究背景、意义、方法、创新点以及本研究的主要内容。第2章,理论基础与文献综述部分。介绍相关的理论知识等,并对教育培训行业相关研究的国内外文献进行论述,为行文提供理论依据。第3章,分析TAL公司英语培训业务的现状和面临的问题。包括现阶段TAL公司英语培训业务的产品情况、服务情况和市场情况,并对TAL公司英语培训业务存在的问题和原因进行分析。阐述TAL公司英语培训业务转型的动因和必要性。第4章,分析TAL公司英语培训业务战略转型的环境。采用PEST模型等,对TAL公司英语培训业务所处的战略环境有一个全面的认识。第5章,主要阐述TAL公司英语培训业务发展战略的制定。运用SWOT分析法,最终确定最适合TAL公司英语培训业务的发展战略。第6章,针对TAL公司英语培训业务转型战略的实施进行阐述,包括向不同英语业务转型方向的战略实施。第7章,结语。总结性陈述,提出不足及展望。 研究发现,当前TAL公司英语培训主要面临的问题是:“双减”政策限制业务发展;公司主营业务是学科类培训,较为单一;英语培训各赛道竞争都异常激烈。为此,提出多元化转型战略,以提高企业的核心竞争力和未来在多赛道发展的机会。具体措施分为三大部分:其一,缩减K12英语培训现有业务;其二,拓展现有英语培训业务,如丰富海外留学培训业务,加强海外K12业务的拓展等。其三,开拓新业务,如开展K12素养英语培训业务,成人英语培训业务,服务于第三方的to B业务等。 |

On 24 July 2021, the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued the Opinions on Further Reducing the Burden of Homework and Off-Campus Training on Students in Compulsory Education, generally for the sake of educational equity, optimizing people's livelihood and regulating the market. But with a paper from the government, many listed education companies made emergency layoffs, saw their stocks plummet, and even began to face business transformation. TAL is one of those companies that has also been forced to embark on a path of business transformation. TAL, formerly known as Xueersi, changed its name to Tomorrow Advancing Life (TAL) on 19 August 2013 and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2010. Of all its businesses, the English training business covers the whole range of subjects and has a large number of students, and the transformation of the English training business is a top priority. The introduction of policies has reduced the space in the English training business market and transformation is imperative. The overall research framework of this paper is divided into seven chapters. Chapter 1, Introduction. This chapter focuses on the research background, significance, methodology, innovation points and the main content of this study. Chapter 2, Theoretical foundations and literature review section. Introduces relevant theoretical knowledge, etc., and discusses domestic and international literature on research related to the education and training industry to provide a theoretical basis for the text. Chapter 3, analyses the current situation of TAL's English training business and the problems it faces. It includes the current product situation, service situation and market situation of TAL's English training business, and analyses the problems and causes of TAL's English training business. Explains the motivation and necessity for the transformation of TAL's English training business. In Chapter 4, the environment for the strategic transformation of TAL's English training business is analyzed. The PEST model is used to provide a comprehensive understanding of the strategic environment in which TAL's English training business is operating. Chapter 5, focuses on the analysis of the development of TAL's English training business strategy. The SWOT analysis is used to finalize the development strategy for TAL's English training business. In Chapter 6, the implementation of the strategic transformation of TAL's English language training business is addressed. This includes the development of strategies to transform the English business in different directions. Chapter 7, concluding remarks. A concluding statement, presenting shortcomings and outlook. This paper focuses on the strategic transformation of education and training enterprises under the "double reduction" policy. The main problems facing TAL's English training are: (1) the "double reduction" policy restricts business development; (2) the company's main business is subject-based training, which is very homogeneous; (3) the competition in all tracks of English training is extremely fierce. The company proposes the following transformation strategy: diversification strategy to improve the core competitiveness of the company and future opportunities for development in multiple tracks. The specific measures are divided into three main parts: (1) to reduce the existing business of K12 English training; (2) to expand the existing business such as English for study abroad, etc.; (3) to open up new businesses, such as literacy English training business, adult English training business, etc. |
