The dramatic increase in the popularity of social media has affected, to a large extent, how SMEs reach and engage with their target customers to promote their products or services and to brand their firms. How SMEs incorporate social media for better business growth has gained massive attention from academic and industrial sectors. This study examines social media benefits on agricultural small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Sierra Leone, West Africa. The objectives of this study are to examine social media benefits on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), explore the agricultural SMEs online presence in Sierra Leone, determining the popular social media platforms that these SMEs use for marketing in Sierra Leone and recommend new strategies for SMEs to use social media for advertising and marketing. This study adopted qualitative and quantitative research with ninety-five (95) participants, including clients and officials from SME organisations, to identify and evaluate the aspects SMEs incorporate to implement the use of social media in agricultural SMEs in Sierra Leone.
