王兵的《铁西区》是中国独立纪录片史上的一个标杆。自《铁西区》始,他后来的作品也收获了国内外的认可和赞誉。 他聚焦于处在边缘地域的底层人民,将那些被遗忘和忽视的“隐形人”呈现在大银幕上,记录大时代变革中普通人的生存现状。他遵循直接电影的原则,拍摄一系列去电影化的纪实影像,尽力去还原消逝的历史,记录这个时代正在发生的真实。他提供了一种“看”的方式,以此启发观众思考。 本文梳理王兵的生平、创作生涯和作品的风格特征,并探索其作品中呈现出的三大主题。文章主体分为四个部分。第一章“独立纪录片与作者导演王兵”梳理了国内独立影像的发展,总结了王兵的生平及其创作生涯,并对独立纪录片的作者导演进行界定,接着从叙事、视听和介入的维度分析了王兵作品的风格特征。第二章“人的孤独”这一主题从人的阶层、人际关系和劳动中的异化三个部分来探讨“孤独”。第三章“人的失落”这一主题主要分为离开故乡的人,被时代抛弃的人和被历史遗弃的人三个部分。第四章探讨了“人的挣扎”这一主题,主要从生存欲求、安全需要和生命意义三个方面来展现。最后结语从社会文化、创作和电影观念三个角度总结了王兵纪录片的意义。
外文摘要:
Wang Bing’s Tie Xi Qu: West of the Tracks is a benchmark in Chinese independent documentary history. Since this marvelous film, his later works have also won recognition and praise at home and abroad. By focusing on socially marginalized subalternate groups, he puts those “invisible person”, who have been forgotten or ignored, on screen, as well as records the living of ordinary people who has survived from the changes of times. By following the principle of Direct Cinema, he films a series of de-cinematic documentary videos, tries his best to reproduce evanescent history and records those realities which are taking place right now. He provides a way of “observe” and inspires audience to ponder. This dissertation sorts out Wang Bing's life, creative career, and style of his works, and explores three major themes presented in his works. Main body of the dissertation is divided into four parts. Chapter 1 "Independent documentary and author director Wang Bing" sorts out the development of domestic independent images, sums up Wang Bing's life and his creative career, and defines the author director of independent documentaries, and then analyzes the style and characteristics of WANG's works from the dimensions of narrative, audio-visual and interventions. Chapter 2 “BEYOND” explores “loneliness” from three perspectives: human stratum, interpersonal relationship, and alienation in labor. Chapter 3 "DOWN" is mainly divided into three parts: those who left their hometown, those who were abandoned by the time, and those who were abandoned by history. Chapter 4 "THROUGH" is mainly analyzed in three aspects: desire for survival, security needs, and meaning of life. Finally conclusion summarizes the significance of WANG's documentaries from three perspectives of social and cultural significance, creative meaning and film concept implication.
