“Cultural reproduction” is core concept of Pierre Bourdieu’s social theory,and also the foundation and starting point of his theory. Bourdieu’s profound analysis of the nature of contemporary societies’ cultural reproduction is the most crucial in his cultural sociology system. The core issue that cultural reproduction theory concerns the most is : How could layered social hierarchy and domination system maintain and reproduct between generations without strong resist and conscious recognition. By researching how cultural resource and cultural institutions put individuals and groups into social hierarchy system will give explanations to the question. Social hierarchy system is competitive and self-renewal.As his primary concept,cultural reproduction is closely linked to other important concepts. Among these concepts “capital”, “habit” and “field ” is the most important. Bourdieu demonstrate convert effect of cultural reproduction in the process of social hierarchy and social reproduction from two aspects: educational reproduction and life style and interestinglevel reproduction. Bourdieu usese his cultural reproduction theory to display the convert mechanism of power domination in microcosmic analysis way.
