自上个世纪70年代曾侯乙墓打开以来，学者对这批出土的曾国文字材料的研究从未中断，取得了丰硕的成果，研究者多把曾国文字纳入楚系文字范畴，少有疑义。本文拟从文字结构和书体风格两个维度将曾国文字和楚国文字进行对比，揭示曾国文字不同于楚国文字的独特特征，从而重新考虑曾国文字的系属和地位问题。经过初步测查和字例形体对比，我们得出两个认识：第一，从结构上看，曾国文字的结构特征显著（典型形体的差异率约33％），具有鲜明的独特性；第二、从书体风格上看，无论是曾侯乙竹简文字还是曾侯乙钟磬文字，字体风格与楚国差异明显。基于这两点，我们的结论是：曾国文字特征显著，应该从楚系文字中分离出来，单独称作“曾国文字”。为了弄清楚曾国文字具有这样特征的原因，本文将曾国文字和周文字对比，发现大部分文字都能从周文字那里找到源头，所以我们认为曾国文字系统的发展演进显然是独立的，自成系统的，这是第一位的；至于楚国文字的影响也是存在的，而且应该是双向的，这是第二位的。本文最后还尝试着对几个疑难字进行了考释和补正。

Since the discovery of the tomb of Zenghouyi in 1970s , the writing material has drawn much attention and the study of the the Zengguo character has lead great achievement . Zengguo Character was considered as a branch of Chu character . We compared the Zengguo character and Chu character in structure and writing style to review the properties of Zengguo character and reconsidered the if it is a branch of Chu character . We had two conclusions by research : 1. Zengguo character has its own features ( the difference ratio of typical structure of characters is 33% ) . 2. Zengguo character is different from Chu character no matter written in bamboo or carve in bronze materials. Based on these two conclusions, we think that the properties of Zengguo character is very obvious and not a branch of Chu character . We compared Zengguo character with Zhou character and found that many Zengguo characters come from Zhou characters . So we think Zengguo characters is formed in a independent process ,. In this process , the influence between Zengguo characters and Chu characters made them alike , but Zengguo characters is not a branch of Chu characters . At the end of this paper , we attach two articles about the research of unknown characters .
