节日是一种以年度为周期循环往复进行的全民性文化生活方式,其变化不仅反映了社会发展变迁,而且是集体记忆的重要建构方式,能够深刻影响群体的生活方式和社会时间节奏。近现代节日制度的变化更是与现代民族国家的建立和民族意识的形成休戚相关。在当前全球一体化、消费社会所带来的文化侵略、信仰缺失等问题日益严重的挑战面前,分析大众媒体节日话语的内容及其演变过程,寻找适宜的节日话语,对完善节日制度、增进民族认同、应对全球化挑战具有重要意义。本文以1950年——2007年期间《人民日报》对元旦、春节、劳动节、国庆节四个国家重要节日的报道为研究对象,分为三章来对其所建构的国家节日话语体系进行分析:第一章主要追溯了我国节日制度的变化过程,并回顾了四个国家节日的来源。第二章以《人民日报》国家节日当天的报纸为分析对象,对国家节日话语体系进行分析。分析分为两个部分,一是对国家节日话语体系中的特殊标记(标语、特殊颜色、领导人照片、社论)的运用情况及其内涵进行分析;二是对节日报道内容的重心及其变化进行分析。本章明确了国家节日的等级分布、时间纬度、主要话语性质以及春节话语的变化过程。第三章在前一章的基础上,通过进一步分析《人民日报》国家节日话语体系当中对节日活动的报道情况,来探寻新中国成立以来国家节日仪式的建构情况,并结合中国社会的历史发展,比较都市报的节日报道情况,探讨在当代消费社会和全球化背景下,在建立具有民族特色的节日文化与节日仪式的进程中,《人民日报》节日话语体系所面临的挑战。总之,通过本文的分析,一方面明确了《人民日报》国家节日话语体系是中国“现代化”追求的重要反映,并在长期的报道中建立了“阅兵仪式”、“天安门升旗仪式”等深入民心的节日仪式,肯定了现代节日制度在建立民族国家过程中的积极作用;另一方面也指出在消费社会和全球化的时代背景之下,在国家节日制度已经开始调整、传统文化日益受到重视的情况下,大众媒体的国家节日话语体系面临重新调整以适应时代发展的问题,这是需要媒体研究者、民俗学家、社会学家以及国家的决策者乃至社会民众共同关注的重要问题。
