人无精神不立，国无精神不强。习近平总书记指出，“中华民族伟大复兴绝不是轻轻松松、敲锣打鼓就能实现的。要战胜前进道路上的各种风险挑战，没有斗争精神不行”。斗争精神是与中国共产党相伴而生，并在革命、建设、改革的百年实践中不断演进而成的独特精神样态，它源于马克思主义斗争基因的赓续传承、中国共产党斗争哲学的科学指引、中华优秀传统文化的丰厚滋养。中国共产党斗争精神的科学内涵主要包括敢于同国内外阶级敌人作斗争的自我牺牲精神，同一切艰难困苦作斗争、善于改造世界的艰苦奋斗精神，同旧传统观念、旧习惯势力作斗争的改革创新精神，同意识形态领域的错误思潮、错误观点作斗争的彻底批判精神，同一切不正之风、一切消极腐败现象作斗争的自我革命精神。中国共产党的斗争精神内含深刻的意识形态意蕴、哲学意蕴、美学意蕴，它充分彰显了中国共产党人的精神气质，它具有融党性和人民性于一身的忠诚性、汇聚初心和使命于一脉的纯洁性、联通民族和世界于一体的先进性等深层特质。
        中国共产党一路走来就是在斗争中求得生存、获得发展、赢得胜利。中国共产党的斗争精神历经百年发展，经历了四个发展阶段，即新民主主义革命时期斗争精神的孕育生发、社会主义革命和建设时期斗争精神的曲折发展、改革开放和社会主义现代化建设新时期斗争精神的奋楫博发、中国特色社会主义新时代斗争精神的昂扬焕发。斗争精神激励着党领导人民胜利完成革命、建设、改革的历史重任，斗争精神的形成和发展的基本逻辑在于从中国共产党百年奋斗史同世界社会主义发展史的风云激荡中把握其历史逻辑，从马克思主义基本原理同中国具体实际、中华优秀传统文化的紧密结合中把握其理论逻辑，从伟大自我革命同伟大社会革命的相互推进中把握其实践逻辑。基于中国共产党斗争精神百年演进的历史经验，依据当前世情、国情、党情、民情的深刻变化，概括归纳出中国共产党斗争精神的当代价值，即发扬党的斗争精神是进行具有新的历史特点的伟大斗争的必然要求，是全面推动党的建设新的伟大工程的必然选择，是成就中国特色社会主义伟大事业的精神保障，是实现中华民族伟大复兴中国梦的使命所需。
