《超级数据：不可思议的虫子》是一本适于 7-10 岁读者的儿童科普书籍， 此书共计 64页，介绍了蚂蚁、蝴蝶、甲虫、蝗虫等二十多种昆虫的形体特征及生活习性，涵盖 1000 多条昆虫知识。 文本内容轻松幽默， 大面积使用图示和色块，以鲜亮的视觉效果和趣味性知识吸引读者。本文是关于《超级数据：不可思议的虫子》青少年科普读物的一篇翻译报告，报告包括项目介绍、译前准备、昆虫名词翻译方法及案例分析和总结四大部分，其中重点研究了昆虫俗称存在多种译法的问题。近年来引进青少年科普类书籍广受欢迎，内容涵盖甚广，在少儿科普图书市场中占据相当大的比重，翻译文本的质量直接关系到少年儿童的阅读体验。 根据科普文本的特点，结合青少年读者需求， 以科学的命名原则和原文中副文本因素的影响，综合解决名称的多种译法问题。同时从前期准备、心理调整、时间管控和整理技巧等方面做出总结，为将来的翻译实践积累经验。

Superstats: Incredible Bugs is a science book for children aged 7-10 with totally 64 pages. It introduces the physical haracteristics and habits of more than 20 kinds of insects such as ants, butterflies and beetles, covering more than 1,000 pieces of insect knowledge. The book is extremely interesting and attractive to children by making use of amount of graphics and bright colors. This paper is a translation report of Superstats: Incredible Insects, four main parts are included: project introduction, pre-translation preparation, case analysis of insect name translation and summary. The focus is on how to deal with many Chinese names for one kind of insect. In recent years, foreign children’s science books have been widely popular and have taken a large proportion in the children's science book market, and children’s reading experience is directly related to the quality of translation. The problem will be solved according to the characteristics of popular science texts, the needs of young readers, the scientific naming principles and the influence of the paratext. The paper also summarizes this translation project from the aspects of preparation, psychological adjustment, time control and material arrangement. This experience is accumulated now for future translation.
