思想政治课程标准中明确提出：“学校要发挥教师作为课程资源建设的主体作用，鼓励和支持教师根据当地实际，充分挖掘并有效利用一切可以利用的课程资源，为学生学习和教师教学的有效实施创造有利条件。”^[]地方本土文化资源作为一种隐性的课程资源，对高中思想政治《文化生活》教学具有重要价值。被称为“塞上江南”的宁夏回族自治区，本土文化资源丰富，将其加以开发利用，能够有效促进思想政治课的发展。但是在应试教育的大背景之下，思想政治教师教学观念与教学思维固化，对地方本土文化资源的开发利用意识薄弱、运用能力不足，无法充分发挥地方本土文化资源的优势。本文以宁夏回族自治区为例，分析本土文化资源在《文化生活》中的运用价值，根据目前宁夏回族自治区本土文化资源在《文化生活》中的应用现状对所存在的问题进行原因分析，最后提出将宁夏回族自治区本土文化资源融入《文化生活》教学的有效策略。
