根据《普通高中英语课程标准》(2017年版,2020年修订),英语教学应高度重视培养学生的英语学科核心素养,包括语言能力、学习能力、文化意识和思维品质。然而,我国的英语语法教学现状并不乐观。受到应试教育的影响,许多学生用死记硬背的方法学习语法,严重制约了其思维品质的发展。因此,转变传统语法教学策略是势在必行的。本研究就旨在探讨思维导图策略在英语语法教学中的应用对高中生思维品质的影响。本研究以广东省东莞市某中学高一年级104名学生为研究对象开展问卷调查,抽取6名学生进行访谈,并通过课堂观摩来收集数据。

研究结果表明:在语法教学中应用思维导图对高中生的思维品质有积极的影响,具体体现在学生的讨论话题更加开放,讨论内容更加深入,他们的表达准确度提高了,在学习活动的输出中也表现出更强的创造性。因此,本研究可以为思维导图策略在语法教学中培养思维品质的有效性提供实践证据,给一些英语教师带来帮助,并为其他研究提供有益的参考。

According to the General Senior High School Curriculum Standards: English (2017 Edition, Revised in 2020), English teaching should take great importance in developing students’ English subject core competencies including cultural awareness, learning ability, language ability and thinking capacity. But the current situation of English grammar teaching in China is not so ideal. Because of the influence of exam-oriented education, many students learn grammar with the rote memory method which seriously restricts the development of students’ thinking quality. Therefore, it’s necessary to change the grammar teaching strategy. This study aims to explore the effect of applying mind mapping strategy in English grammar teaching on the thinking quality of senior high school students. In this study, a total of 104 students in Grade one of a senior high school in Dongguan, Guangdong Province were selected as the research subjects to conduct a questionnaire survey. Among them, 6 students were selected to participate in an interview, and some data were collected through classroom observation.

The research findings show that applying mind mapping strategy in English grammar teaching exerts a positive effect on the thinking quality of senior high school students, which is reflected in students’ more open discussion scope, more in-depth discussion content, higher expression accuracy, and more creative learning output. As a result, this study provides practical evidence for the effectiveness of applying mind mapping strategy in grammar teaching to cultivate thinking capacity, and it may be useful for some English teachers and provide references for other studies.
